Sometimes I really wish one could open my brain and see exactly how I'm seeing or visualizing things. The moment you start seeing Lagos for what it is, which is a mega city like London, Sydney, newyork, the more you can rationalize that it ought to have outgrown tribalism. The worst part is that it's not even the indigenous lagosians themselves that are raising this much dust because ironically enough, the most prominent indigenous lagosians lined up behind Rhodes vivor. The candidate which APC tribalists painted as a trojan horse. Ask yourself this, will a Londoner like ibime be offended if a Liverpudlian called London a no man's land. Or a newyorker be offended if a south dakotan called newyork a no man's land? And again, we're not talking about origin or history of state but current demographic makeup of the city. 1 Like |

Yea, but these things are beyond just saying it's our oil so you must be headquartered here, the governors need to do the work to incentivize these companies to set up shop there too, and then they can begin to somewhat mandate it. Niger Delta governors are just mostly bastards, those guys should be doing better. Melvyn11: 2 Likes 1 Share |

I hope the governor of Lagos will do the right thing by releasing the traditional ruler. Eze mozie did the right thing by challenging those thugs. It is just a matter of time before other regions copies the Lagos template. |

Olowunl01: If you check my post on Saturday evening, I said it here that Sanwo-Olu would’ve won the gubernatorial election regardless and was disappointed with the direction the election took. Now you need to understand that Yorubas don’t joke with their land ownership, in fact most of the wars that Yorubas has fought in our history is because of land issues. A Yoruba man in Awori cannot go to Egbaland and call it a no man’s land even though both of them are indigene of Ogun State and are both Yorubas. Calling Lagos a no man’s land is a provocation and when Peter Obi won in the Presidential election, there were a lot of rhetorics to that effect especially online. I am a firm believer in democracy and that everyone should be able to vote for whoever they want and whenever they are without bullying or intimidation and I condemn in its entirety what happened on Saturday in some part of Lagos. What happened on Saturday was more about making a statement than any other thing. Meanwhile there’s no way Igbos will take over Lagos when the Yorubas are the clear majority in the state. 19 Likes 5 Shares |

Ibime:Insecurity due to their dubious activities. Every IOC headquarters should be located at the regions where they operate. You can't be operating in peoples community where your activities affect their environments badly while, you run to another region to site your headquarters. Let them stay there and feel what the people of the region feel, engage the youths and provide some basic amenities for them. Some of these IOCs dubious activities have in the time past lead to youth restiveness in those regions. 2 Likes 1 Share |
