Effect Of Leaving The Kids Behind And Travelling To UK by guobe: 8:14pm On Mar 21, 2023 |
As I was coming back from my place of work this evening at about 7 pm I saw a young boy and another kid still in the school premises.I was forced to stop my vehicle to enquire why the boy was still in school and he told me his grandmother has not come to pick him yet.I enquired about his parents and he told me both his father and mum japa to London 7 years ago.I asked for his age and he told me 11 years.I asked for the grandmother's number and he gave me but when I called her she did not pick. The little boy told me grandma comes to pick them late always. As fate may have it the grandmother came with a kekenapep and the other boy entered the kekenapep .The little boy told me that was his brother also and he ran to meet his grandma. Most parents these days are chasing money and leaving their kids at the mercy of an aged grandmother.May God help us. 7 Likes |

blame African/Nigerian society for that... so many broke legged useless married ignoramus quick to have children after marriage, even though they are not emotionally/physically/financially fit to care for these children the proper way. i would also blame the foolish grandparents who accept to take care of these abandoned children... if it was me, i would not take care of these kids, even for one day. you had them, you take care of them! thats what BEING RESPONSIBLE tastes like. 7 Likes |

MrBrownJay1:The economy is harsh you may not really blame them for running away from the country.Guy you may have 5 million naira in Nigeria before you get married and when you eventually get married within two years that money is gone and you go borrowing.I know what I am talking about. 16 Likes 1 Share |

guobe: abeg, dont blame the economy for foolish ignorant married people having children they cannot take care of, and subsequently abandoning these same children for 7 long years, while they go abroad (to possibly or not make it)! are you now claiming that after 7 long years in the UK, its still the same old "Nigerian harsh economy" that makes these useless parents not come back for their children?!?!?1 2 Likes |

MrBrownJay1: Do you know if the aged parents/grannies are still depending on the kids' parents for a living?, if so, they will have no option than to do the Nanny/babysitting job while the kids' parents goes to look for money. Are they expecting the kids' parents to shit out money from their nyash to be footing both their bills too? 1 Like |

guobe: I don't know how your childhood was but what if you were raised by your grandparents and you didn't witness the impact of your dad and mum because they were chasing money? Do you know what the child has to go through because of no physical parental touch? Do you know the abuse they are exposed to, the sexual predators, the psychological issues? 1 Like |

I don't like the abandon claims tho, but you've got to do what you've got to do for a clearer and better future. Couples leaves naija without their kids on a regular,no biggie in it. Sane way Giannis antemtokoubo parent left his brother in Nigeria and moved to Turkey. It's a life of sacrifice and risk. Na we be your best plug for everything Sexual enhancement tho 1 Like |

Re: Effect Of Leaving The Kids Behind And Travelling To UK by Kobojunkie: 4:00pm On Mar 27, 2023 |
Kiddogarcia:1. Context ke? We are talking here of two human beings who were abandoned by parents who felt they had a better opportunity elsewhere. Did you read the story at all? The kids are left back at school until late for their grandmother to come by to pick them up. How are their lives better than that of average Nigerians out there because mummy and papa abandoned them in Nigeria to seek better opportunities elsewhere for Pete's sake? ![]() Which long run? Kids get to grow up without the care of their parents. Grandma gets to work extra after raising her own kids. And it isn't that they are being chauffeured around or something or that they are living large as a result of, so what long run be that after 7 years of abandonment? ![]() 1 Like |
