Banhammy717: This is fallacy and irritating. Satan is not a leader in any part of the world. Almighty God is the Leader and Sole Ruler of the heavens and the earths. He doesn't share His kingdom with anyone. Satan is just a mere jinn, he doesn't have any authority over you and I This is the only perspective that would make sense when reconciled with the fact that God ALONE created the heaven and earth. But I wonder why Christians pray against Satan always. They seem to believe that Satan is ruling the entire world or at best, a section of it. Christian leaders are also constantly casting away Satan and conducting deliverance sessions to free people from the grip of Satan. Even the bible admonished adherents to FLEE from Satan. I just don't understand this concept of shared authority between God and Satan in the same world God created all by himself. 1 Like |

jesusjnr2020: Really? So why did Jesus also call him the prince of this world and said He'd be casted out if it wasn't true?
Secondly, Jesus also said after His resurrection, "all power on Earth" had been given to Him among other things, so whose was it before it was given to Jesus and when was it given to Him? I'mma Muslim but i think both our books preach exactly thesame thing, except one is the altered previous version and the other is the updated version, but then i wasn't among the first generation that listened to the true words of God from some of the smartest set of people; the prophet's of God. I can't be sure if those words were not altered after those great men died but then i am a really smart person because i know I'm the best being after God, deep down i know what is right and what is wrong. I'll pick up another topic here, let's be frank, deep down we all know that there is the all creator. Someone that nobody seems to be able to figure out how much great he is, no one seems to be able to estimate his reality, to imagine that humans have been existing for thousands of years, still not a clue. At the end we just have to read anything that rightfully guides us and gives us clues about our past so we can follow the right path not out of preference. Therefore, i will repeat myself again "we are the best being after God" we also have a greater mind and understanding better than both the angels and the devil himself!! we shouldn't let smaller beings deviate our minds into giving them a crown that can never be theirs, not as long as we exist. 1 Like |

jesusjnr2020: But some might still ask, if God had put man in charge of the world in the beginning and never the devil, how then did Satan become the leader of this world?
I already said in the previous thread that some leaders were appointed by men, some others by Satan, however I only gave instances of the latter, such as the Antichrist, but none of the former, hence I'm going to use this opportunity to do just that.
The same Satan I said would appoint the Antichrist as world leader, is himself is an appointee of man.
It was man that appointed Satan the prince of this world not God!
It was man that elected the devil to become his leader.
It was man chose Satan as his lord and king.
It was man that foolishly sold his leadership-right to the devil for just a bite of the forbidden fruit. Genesis 2:16-17, 3:6.
It was man who hence gave the power which God gave him over Earth to the devil.
That was how Satan came to have it because it was the same power God gave to man in the beginning, that the devil offered to Jesus when he tempted Him.
Luke 4:5-7 (KJV)
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
Hence Satan now had the power God gave to man in the beginning and could give it to anyone he wants, just as man could give it to anyone he choose after God gave it to him.
Therefore God never intended for the devil to have all that power and glory He gave to man in the beginning, hence His utter disappointment with man after man had given it to the devil.
Hence His strong rebuke and even punishment of man for giving the devil that power and authority He intended for man to have over His creation and had given him after He had made man in the beginning. Genesis 3:11-19
Hence God doing whatever it took, even if it meant for Him to come down to the earth as man to pay the price so as to reclaim that power and authority He gave to man in the beginning from the devil.
Hence Jesus saying:
John 12:31-32 (KJV)
Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
That was how the devil was cast out from his leadership position, after God had paid the price to reclaim that power from the devil which He gave to man in the beginning.
Hence Jesus saying afterwards:
"All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." Matthew 28:18
Therefore God never rested until He had reclaimed that power and authority He gave man over His creation from Satan, because it was never His intention for the devil to have it in the first place.
If God gave the devil the power or installed him as the ruler of this world, why would He go through so much trouble to retrieve it and to cast the devil out?
If you still believe every leader, including the devil, was appointed by God, it then means your god is certainly not the One that created everything in the beginning, and appointed man as leader of them all, and then also did everything He possibly could to reclaim that power from the devil after man gave it to him, because that God would never appoint the devil as ruler over the world He'd made.
God bless. You are very knowledgeable and I admire your intelligence but God never came down to reclaim the power. The Spirit came down from heaven upon the body of Jesus that even Satan was confused about it hence he was asking if Jesus was the Son of God. Jesus told the people that he came down from heaven and the people were angry saying that they know the family and why was he lying. Jesus humbled himself on the cross to become omnipresent hence he could say that I knock at the door of everyone's heart and whoever opens the door, he will come in to dwell. If he says that all Power has been given to him, that means there is someone who is greater than him and in 1Cor, we were told that after subduing the earth, he will hand over the kingdom to the father because God is the only one that is not subjected to his authority. By reading the epistles of Paul, his greetings always differentiate God the Father and then Our Lord Jesus Christ. In Rev 1.1 it states that the revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave to him and Jesus gave it to his angel to show it to his servant of the things to come. 1 Like 1 Share |

I get you bro/sis. We may also need to consider what makes a temptation a temptation. If we conclude that all that the devil offered were non-existent because he is liar, then we may have to rethink whether Jesus was tempted at all. The bible records that Jesus Christ was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil (Luke 4:1). In James 1:14, the writer highlighted a major ingredient for a temptation to occur called, Human Desire. The first enticement the tempter attempted was on Jesus Christ's desire for food. In Luke 4:2b, the bible records that Jesus was hungry. Jesus Christ's desire for food (hunger) was apparent, hence he could be tempted of food. Jesus Christ's response in Luke 4:4 (..."it is written, 'Man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every word of God.'" shows that the bread was an option that was available to him. The options in the other two instances where Jesus was tempted would have to be available for it to be a temptation. Hence, the Devil had to have had the kingdoms of this world to be able to entice Jesus Christ with the option. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is in continuation of a thread I made last week, where I said not all leaders were appointed by God and proved it with scriptures, especially the teaching of Christ. Yet there were some here, including Christians, who strongly disagreed with that position and were arguing because they believed all leaders were appointed by God.
Hence this is to illustrate how erroneous that idea of theirs is, because if they indeed believe God appointed every leader, that means they also believe that Satan was appointed by God as leader of this world, because they can't possibly believe that all leaders were appointed by God but at the same time not believe that God was the One that also appointed Satan to rule the world He made in the beginning.
Then imagine teaching believers to consequently subject themselves to Satan's authority, because all leaders were appointed by God... wouldn't that sound as heretic and antichrist as they could possibly come?
That's how glaringly false and ridiculous the idea that all leaders were appointed by God is, because the God who created the earth and everything in it had never on any occasion appointed Satan to rule over everything He made in the beginning.
It was never God's plan A or plan B up to plan Z for Satan to become the ruler of this world.
The only person God intended to have dominion and to rule over this world was the man He made in His own image.
That was the plan of God before He made man.
Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
[And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
That was actually the concept of God making man, to rule over His creation, so after God had made man (male and female), He officially appointed man the leader of the Earth and hence gave them charge, authority and dominion over everything He made in the beginning, to actualise His plan for making man.
Genesis 1:28 (KJV)
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Therefore it was man that God appointed the ruler of the world He'd made and gave authority over it, never the devil.

Just like you said, context is important in asserting whether something is applicable or not. I would assume that you were quoting John 8:44 where the Devil was called a liar and the father of it. Let us consider contextually what progressed in that verse. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/jhn.8.44.NKJV"....when he speaks a lie" - it may be fallacious to say that the Devil always lies (considering the context of the verse) Let us look at the deceit you referenced that happened in Eden. We will start with what God said and juxtapose it with the serpent said. Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:15-17 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/gen.2.15-17.NKJVWhat the serpent said: Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “ You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”.......v7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. Genesis 3:1-5, 7 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/gen.3.1-7.NKJVThe areas highlighted shows us one of the lies that the serpent said. However, if we look at what the serpent said about the eyes opening, the outcome shows that the eyes of Adam and Eve were truly opened. In John 10:10, we see that the thief comes to do three things: 1. Kill 2. Steal 3. Destroy The Devil will employ truths and lies to achieve at least any or all of the three objectives of the thief above. When I attempted to discuss the authority that the Devil may have had, it was done within the context of the temptation that Jesus Christ faced. For Jesus to have been tempted, the object of enticement had to be real. Like you said, I may be right or wrong, which is very true. Let's hear what other religious sects have to say.
Christians and their Bible are living in their own world.
Even Israelites with only 1.9% of their population identifying as Christians will beg to differ.

Like you said, I may be right or wrong, which is very true. However, you and I can look at the context of the temptation and draw plausible conclusions on right or wrong. But we also have a superior context... ps 24.."the earth is the lord's" and Isa 66v1 heaven is my throne, earth is my foot stool....The lord is not clearly not sharing ownership or lordship or rulership of the world with anyone..... So the liar's rulership and ownership is likely and probably a context connoting his ability to influence men to sin against God( a pseudo control).....he did same in heaven and was casted out... Thank God u mentioned eden... God said they will die if they eat...and they did die...spiritually and physically... .devil said they wont die and added an icing on the cake, that their eyes will be opened, which God ddnt want them to have...the devil even presented the eye opening as something good or as good reward so again...the world he's claiming to have in his possession to give jesus is obviously a distorted version of the world, presented as a reward to jesus... The world probably and likely wasnt his to give in the first place...and only presented his distorted version or wateva context he meant by the whole world.... |

Your second point is where I have some sort of difficulty with. If Satan's powers came from God and he is only able to exercise if allowed by God, then I wonder if it is alright to assume that God ALLOWED Satan to kill Christians worshipping inside the church in large numbers. I wonder why God would allow some persons to perpetrate so much evil under the guise of worshipping God until they are caught, and then Satan is blamed for using them. On daily basis Christian worshippers are subjected to all kinds of evil by their leaders. Evils even as grievous as adultery, rape and murder are visited upon innocent worshippers of God right inside the church. Is it safe to conclude that God ALLOWED the devil to carry out all of that on Christians? I doubt. 1 Like 1 Share |

God bless. Do you understand that the premise of your argument centres on the assumption that satan is not a man? And if satan is a man then your argument is as erroneous as the one you’re trying to counter. I just needed you to put that into perspective bc just as you’re trying to claim to be right than others, certain people are looking at you like an ignorant person who says what he has not understanding of. Overall, I do not have interest in this conversation so there’s no need to reply me pls, I just needed you to see your own bias so you can see that you’re only right in your own eyes but not right in reality. So take be patient with others to grow to you’re level of understanding bc there are many who know you’re making an unlearned argument who do not also call you out for it. Let’s all grow in Christ to a place of perfect understanding. 1 Like 1 Share |

jesusjnr2020: Who Appointed Satan The Ruler Of This World?
This is in continuation of a thread I made last week, where I said not all leaders were appointed by God and proved it with scriptures, especially the teaching of Christ. Yet there are were some here, including Christians, who strongly disagreed with that position and were arguing because they believed all leaders were appointed by God.
Then imagine teaching believers to consequently subject themselves to Satan's authority, because all leaders were appointed by God... wouldn't that sound as heretic and antichrist as they could possibly come?

histemple: ■ Your second point is where I have some sort of difficulty with. If Satan's powers came from God and he is only able to exercise if allowed by God, then I wonder if it is alright to assume that God ALLOWED Satan to kill Christians worshipping inside the church in large numbers. ■ I wonder why God would allow some persons to perpetrate so much evil under the guise of worshipping God until they are caught, and then Satan is blamed for using them. ■ On daily basis Christian worshippers are subjected to all kinds of evil by their leaders. Evils even as grievous as adultery, rape and murder are visited upon innocent worshippers of God right inside the church. ■ Is it safe to conclude that God ALLOWED the devil to carry out all of that on Christians? I doubt. 1. How did you come to ascertain that Satan killed them though? Or are you of the thought that Satan is to blame for all bad things that take place in our plain? 2. Satan is blamed by whom for using whom? Where do you get the idea that Satan takes the blame for the evils men perpetrate against their fellow men? When did evil/wickedness seize as a choice made by men against their fellow men? 3. Newsflash! Christianity is a man-made religion which has absolutely nothing to do with God much like every other religion out there. God never gave men religion so when men use create and use religion as yet another tool of manipulation against their fellow man, it has nothing to do with God who already prewarned His followers never to put their trust in flesh and blood nor in the doctrines and traditions of human beings. 4. Scripture instead states that the devil is the enemy who is against those that belong to God in the Kingdom of God. So it is not safe at all to also assume that the devil is also against those of the religion of Christianity, those who don't even belong to God at all. 1 Like 1 Share |

So it is not safe at all to also assume that the devil is also against those of the religion of Christianity, those who don't even belong to God at all. I am inclined to agree with your point 3 in its entirety. In fact, it has been my position for quite a long time now. It is also, in my opinion, the only position that would remove the needless involvement or the association of events by human beings with God. Whenever somebody mentions "it happened because it's GOD'S WILL", I marvel at such manifestly self-delusion. For example, a group of men, gets guns and kills worshippers and somebody concludes it was God's will. On point 4, I would really appreciate if you could provide further clarification. Recall that I previously expressed my confusion with the concept of shared authority between God and Satan (the devil) against which you argued. But from your conclusion hereinabove, you seem to give credence to the presumption of shared authority. You implied that there are some people who do not belong to God. By that, it appears a person can be forgiven if they assume that such people belong to the Devil. If that conclusion holds true, does it not suggest that on earth, you either belong to God or the Devil? |
