So, I collected my passport yesterday been (March 31)

Capturing Date: November 4, 2022

Date of Production: March 23

Collection Date: March 31, 2023.


Centre: Oshogbo Passport Office

Amount Paid: #25,500 (Saanapay)


Let me leave the story for another day but as an intending applicant. Please avoid Oshogbo office for now. There’s a high level of corruption going on in that office. While I was waiting for someone yesterday, I overheard a conversation of one officer telling his client that he should bring 65k for 64 pages passport ( which is officially 35k). An elderly man came to complain in my presence that he has captured since last year August (Omo, mofo). These are few of experiences I had at the immigration office.

I am a proud DIY who defied all circumstances to maintain his position as an advocate of We don’t give shishi . To be honest, it wasn’t easy but it is possible.

Yes, someone can. You need to write a letter of authorization supported by personal details and ID documents. The person authorized will be asked to ID in order to collect the passport on your behalf.

I called someone at the immigration he said it’s not allowed. Pls who has experience this before? The guy said I will have to pay 10k for that I don’t know why this NIS officials are corrupt

I can't guarantee that, because some people who captured December 18-19 upward didn't get theirs but a lady who captured January 6th got hers, it's not difficult to understand (fast tracking still exist)

A girl (around 13-15yrs old) who came with her mum she's a USA/Nigerian citizen got her Nigerian passport today (yes, she captured today and collected today)

How do I know?

I stroke a conversation with her mother because we were at the PCO's office together

NB -before meeting the PCO make sure you actually have evidence to prove you really need the passport urgently else she won't attend to you.

My passport expired and I want to renew it. The thing is that only my first name and surname are on my expired passport but my first name, middle name and surname are on my Nin, will this affect nin verification when applying for a renewal?

In Ikorodu here, I paid around N500 for it. The business center guys that typed for me collected N300. Total cost is around N800.

Please I want to apply for a passport for my woman. I will like to know which of the immigration office in Lagos can I get a faster appointment date if I make the payment online?

Someone suggested I go to immigration office in Taraba that I will pay, capture and collect same day but Taraba is very far for me

Do you live in Lagos? Don't even consider traveling to Taraba state. That is like a 2 day journey. The road to the state is even insecure. Just pick Alimosho if you're in Lagos. The earlier the better.

Please, is the office of Commissioner for Oats who will stamp the guarantor's form around the immigration office? If no, pls where did you do yours and the cost pls?
I am going for capturing on Monday.
