A huge contributing factor is also these stars don't mature beyond the time they start earning big. they from the age of 18-35 ish have spent all that time surrounding themselves with people who tell them how awesome they are, who avoid going against their wishes, pander to them at every opportunity, agents that negotiate on their behalf, that search for deals, lawyers that deal with their legal issues, chefs who cook for them, personal shopper, costumier etc. so they don't know how to navigate the difficulties of life as they don't even know what an opposition is outside the playing field.

When they do eventually retire and the monies aren't coming in at all or is very small compared to before they'd start facing more oppositions by that time they don't have agents to deal with these and those lawyers might have left them and suddenly they need to deal directly with the taxmen, the police etc and while they're physically in their 40s, mentally they still have the maturity of a 21YO and that still need all the help, help that they probably now can't afford
