Peter Obi singled out the North for obvious reasons. There's poverty across the country, 133 million is a big number, but the South East with 10.85 million of these poor person's contribute the least. The North West where Monerozi5590's beloved Kaduna is located has the highest number with 45 million of these person's, facts don't care about feelings.

Monerozi5590 said Northerners are pretending to be poor so they get more aid from foreign donors. If you're truly pretending to be poor, why then do you get insulted when people say you're poor πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Ermmmm

The survey, which sampled over 56,000 households across the 36 states of the Federation and the FCT, was conducted between November 2021 and February 2022, and provides multidimensional poverty estimates at senatorial district level.

Highlights of the 2022 Multidimensional Poverty Index survey reveal that:

63% of persons living within Nigeria (133 million people) are multidimensionally poor.
The National MPI is 0.257, indicating that poor people in Nigeria experience just over one-quarter of all possible deprivations.
65% of the poor (86 million people) live in the North, while 35% (nearly 47 million) live in the South.

Ermmmm

I mean they only sampled 56000 families. I'm not i see any facts here.

This is not to say I disagree with the argument that Nothern Nigerians are desperately poor, but I was interested in NBS's definition of the word "poor".

I'm not a statistician but their methodology seems pretty shoddy to me. How do you extrapolate data from sampling 56k families to apply to a population size in the hundreds of millions?

I asked you to put it into a believable context that won't suggest religious bigotry.

I asked you to make it seems as if Obi was uniting the Christians and Muslims with "religious war" statement

It was taken out of context...let Obi the sissy provide the context and kill this matter once and for all

Obi talked about getting rid of poverty in the North and his supporters say it is not an insult.

The world sees Northern Nigerian as the poorest region in the country...thanks to stats by independent people.

Sanusi...shettima and Co said it....I think, one needs to fall back to stats to affirm or debunk it..

Soludo called Anambra very poor,it wasn't supported by stats nor any verifiable source..mhow would you confirm such assertion.

Obi only echoed what was actually known (thanks to independent stats) and promised to heal the land through agriculture....mis their any wrong??

On the other hand, he'd go home to UGM, kidnappings, bad roads, thuggish leaders he hails, no FDI... Or he can't even go home at all because it's a death wish.

But I don't like Peter Obi any less. He represents an idea for me, his tribe regardless. Just like Osinbajo still does for me.

I'd rather not go into tribal issues. I'm more focused on promoting the developmental strides in Akwa Ibom as I have always done over the years. They should take notes if they have nothing to promote.

All things being equal, at some point this month or next, I should upload pictures of the new oil company, fertilizer plant, and petrochemical industry already being built in my place. We'd take site tours soon.

Those are the issues I want to discuss. Backward gangsters and UGM should take several seats. smiley

it's called a sample for a reason and professional statisticians are in the best position to know what sample size is too small and which isn't. The stat was from the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics.

Generally, the higher the population, the lower the percentage number of respondents you need to make informed statistical decision on the he general population.
