The main thing about Things fall apart is that it was a FIRST and it was actively promoted first by Heinemann and later the Nigerian government making it compulsory reading in Nigeria and many African countries

Macaroni's mother is igbo. I suspect Falz's mother too is not Yoruba, I've searched places where a home town is usually mentioned for a public figure and can't find any for her, her husband's hometown of Ilawe Ekiti is what keeps coming up in some cases, I wonder why! They said it was a thing back in the days for people to take up Yoruba names for economic advantage. If you ask Yoruba about where Bola Shagaya is from, at least 95% Yoruba will say she's Yoruba but she igbo married to a Shagaya from Kwara. It took me forever to crack her home town. So you ask how she got her name?
