I began my process but along the line I was told that my nin had verification issues and I was asked to come and recapture my nin (which was strange to me) but even after that the X is still on the nin verification spot and my capture date is on the 14 which is 5 days from now. I just want to ask if this should be a cause for alarm.

1. DIY - Pay online which is the cheapest but you also have to know the stress and that comes with it.

2. Go to immigration office and you see people there that will help fast track it for you although it comes at an extra price



3. Compare and contrast agents online if you are ready to risk it. And go for the one that suits your pocket

the Nigeria system of government is to blame for all this,they created room for it...as per that guy,we can't blame him,he is just an hustler,we need to encourage him,we should be thanking God that we can afford it!

There are ways to avoid being scammed without being rude. Be courteous in your word usage.If you ask a question and you are yet to get a favourable answer from someone, you can rephrase your question. Except you open yourself to scammers, you cannot be scammed on nairaland. There are ways to go about transactions and you would not fall victim

I have being following your thread on this passport subject.

So, I am currently not in Nigeria, but I am hoping to come soon. The purpose of coming down is to renew my Nigeria passport which already expired almost a year ago, and I have since changed my name almost 3 years ago. Only Nigeria document left to update the name change.

I am very savvy when it comes to following application procedures and acting on it. But not Nigeria passport (change of name) in this case, unfortunately.

I only have 2 weeks allowance from work to get this done in Nigeria. I am aware or being told the correction of data is done in Abuja. But I need both the renewal and COD done within two weeks.

Questions:
Do you think it is possible to get it done within this time frame with fast track

Do you have a connection to an immigration officer that can support.

Oh also, I have just recently completed the NIN application and I have a capture for it on my new name. But I am still waiting for it to be sent to me.

Your advice will be highly appreciated.
