I have my company paid for my tuition deposit CAD8000

Should I make them transfer me 7m for my living expenses and outstanding tuition balance with gift deed to back it up?

Or I should use the company statement direct?

Which of this two will give me better chance of approver?

Is there any ST Clair college admitted student WhatsApp group available?

Not everything is a gift deed. Your company is sponsoring you so you need a letter of sponsorship and not a gift deed. And just a letter will not fly by the visa officer please, get them to send you the balance of your first year tuition and living expenses at least, then state in their letter how they’ll pay that of the second year. Or if they can they should send the money for the two years at once.

If you’re a matured applicant then it is assumed that you’ve had something doing since you graduated, so it is expected to have something to show for it.

Good evening, everybody, and happy Easter. My name is Olawale, and I’m here because of my younger sister, who just got her Canadian visa to study at Fleming College, Toronto. She plans to travel to Canada on the 22nd of April (this month), but we have been struggling to get her an apartment/accommodation. If there is anyone here who can help with accommodations, I would really appreciate it. I can be reached at this number: 09056856638. Thanks, and God bless you all.
You can book Airbnb first so when you get to Canada it will make your house search easier

Congrats to you..
Thestarbear:
I've received my stamped passport so I'm going to post my timeline and documents i submitted below. First time applicant.

Application submitted: December 3rd 2022
Biometrics: December 13th 2022
Medical request: February 15th 2023
The day I did Medicals: March 3rd 2023
Passed Medicals: March 8th 2023
PPR: March 14th 2023
Submitted passport: March 23rd 2023
Passport ready: April 3rd 2023
(I would have gotten it earlier if I did not waste time to do some things like Biometrics and Medicals, my advice is that if you want your PPR earlier, when they send you request to do Biometrics or Medicals, go ASAP)

Documents submitted (I didn't submit more than required) I am self sponsored, I did everything myself aside from the LOE/SOP that my brother and I did together
All the required forms
International passport Scan (no travel history)
Passport photograph of myself (Canada standard)
Letter of Acceptance with receipt of first semester paid (around 8000 CAD)
Detailed Letter of Explanation/Statement of Purpose with my resume/CV attached.
(My advice for your LOE is to make sure you mention you are coming back to Nigeria. Don't just imply you are coming back. Put that "when I get back to Nigeria etc" even if it's a lie. The Visa officer needs to know that you are going to come back. And I saw on one YouTube video during my research not to hype canada up too much, don't say something like "Canada is a great country, great employment opportunities etc" because the visa officers already know that. All they are hearing is that "Canada is good and you will not be coming back to Nigeria." What I did was that I said I was going to Canada to LEARN and I stated I will be coming back to Nigeria. I mentioned my family as home ties, put as many home ties as you can. I did not submit any photo of my family or birth certificate or any of that)

Proof of funds: Around 16m (it's only me going)
I submitted both my domiciliary account and naira account bank statement of four months for both. I put the receipt of tuition paid, along with the contracts from companies I've worked with and the payslips from when the paid me. The payslips showed tax deduction so I did not get tax clearance certificate.

I didn't do police clearance

You don't need agent to do anything, you can do everything yourself. Just make sure you get someone you trust to go over your LOE and POF to make sure you're putting the right thing. These two things I think are what really make your application strong. I took a whole month to write and edit that LOE and even the POF just so I could make sure I did everything right.

Arrange everything like it's a story, just imagine you're a visa officer going through hundreds of application, you don't have time to waste, so don't waste the VO's time either. Arrange it well, put everything in order, make sure you explain everything in detail. Explain any lump sum, explain anything that will make the visa officer stop and ask why.

I don't know about other people but not only did I put bank statements, payslips etc in my POF, I started explaining anything money related, I used a whole page to talk about where the money came from, how company paid me and so on.
Then I used the LOE/SOP to only talk about myself, why and what I want to study in Canada and home ties. I thought this would help someone, you can use your POF as kind of a LOE regarding money incase you don't have space in ur LOE, but be careful you're not putting a whole essay inside your POF, no beat around the bush, save the main talk for your LOE/SOP.

Another thing a YouTube video mentioned is that anything you say in your LOE/SOP cannot be unsaid so BE CAREFUL. Don't write one made up story, if they reject you and you try and take back what you said or change it, it will not help your case. Be very very careful you are telling the truth or at least, you are not telling a lie.

Nairaland truly helped me when I was applying, i was on it the whole day researching and i owe this forum a lot so thats why im saying all this. Do you research, pray and everything will be okay!
Sorry if my thing is scattered but I hope you guys get my point : ) goodluck to everyone!

There's May intake. Cape Breton University (CBU) offers Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Management. It's a 2-year course and you'll be eligible for 3 years Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) after completion of the program. The last semester is usually Internship or capstone project, your choice. Tuition fee for the whole program is $29,293 (Canadian Dollars). The first semester is about $9.5k and the first year is less than $16.7k all Canadian Dollars.

The school is located in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada. I think they have a human resources program but I'm not sure. You can check on that. But I know that their Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Business Management program has Human resources and organisational behaviour courses.

Peace ✌️

I am For May intake too,CBU.

Hi 2surelady. I just received admission to Seneca. Is it okay to ask some questions or d.m privately.
The college has given me 1 month to pay a deposit for the first semester which I think is too short. How did you circumvent this since form A takes a very long time to process these days. Also, if anyone has an idea of how to go about this. I have also messaged the school if they could extend the deadline.

Hello I am new in this and don’t know much.Someone made my tuition deposit from Canada. It’s a good one to ask for more time,I hope they do extend it.
I hope someone else replies on other options of how to go about it

Have you been checking Kijiji or roomies.ca?

Also, a friend of mine is moving out of Toronto this month. I'll ask him if his apartment will be free (or if he already let it out). If yes, I'll come back to this thread and update you.

Good luck with your search

He said they've gotten someone already. He promised to let me know if he gets one (no guarantee). You can also share info about your preference and budget. Do you mind a basement? One bedroom (maybe a little expensive) or a shared apartment?

I have enough because 5m = 14k+ and my program is only 1 year and i have already paid all fees
But thats the only money in my account and im not employed
Will that be an issue that im using my whole funds

Paying full fees is always a boost. At least the purpose of visit is covered. Theoretically you should be good to go

POF should cover your tuition and minimum of first year living expenses usually calculated as 10k cad plus miscellaneous eg flight

I didn’t state that its my entire savings in my SOP
Now that you talked about having more than 1 account, that makes sense.
It can be an account i set out for saving money for my cost of living. Should i say this one in my SOP?

I don't think you necessarily have to state that you've multiple accounts. Just saying this is where you've your living expenses money saved should imply that.

Sorry but if I may ask, why "Nursing"? Did you know that Zoology is one of the most heavily funded programs in North America? And she's got 1st class too- which means she'll be a competitive student for funding. Which aspect of Zoology interest her? She can do her MSc in Biological Sciences and add Biostatistics & Bioinformatics skills join. Once she graduates, she can jump to a more flexible (and highly paying) role like "Data Analyst"

But if Nursing still, she can try those colleges in Ontario for a practical nursing program.

Thank you so much doc.

I am really happy my post got your attention. We have tried checking for Msc in biological sciences, but most are thesis-based and requires reaching out to a supervisor beforehand. We feel because she doesn't have good research background it might be difficult to get a supervisor(I don't know if doesn't work this way). She is young without any work experience. Academically, she is really good, Our major issue is getting a Program she can fit into without any hassle.

If you don't mind sir, can i send a mail please, thanks

Hello gurus in the house
Am a Nigerian resident and citizen who got admission into Fleming College Ontario to study Environmental Technician (co-op option) 2 year program. I initially made inquires on Environmental Technician (Advanced Standing) 1year program since am a BSc degree holder with over 8 years working experience in the environmental field. While filling my application online I saw only the environment technician (co-op optional) program.
I have accepted the environmental technician (co-op optional) program, and I have paid both deposit and first term fee.

Now the challenge is the environment technician (co-op optional) program is just a Diploma while the advanced standing option program is a PG Diploma Program. What are the chances I will get my study permit based on the fact that visa officer would wanna see relation to career progression and knowing fully well only secondary school requirements is needed for this Environment Technician (co-op optional) program. But going through both programs course outline, the environmental technician (advanced standing) program is a like a subset/part of the environment technician (co-op optional) program which is more detailed both in course load and hours. It has more course loads (units/hours) plus option of co-op. This co-op program is 4 semester starting from semester 1 all through to semester 4 while the advanced standing program also showed 4 semester but only semester 3 and 4 is required in obtaining the PG Diploma certificate.

Both programs are to start in fall 2023.

*Question 1:* should I go ahead with my study visa application? Since I have already paid both deposit and first term fees.

*Question 2:* Does it mean that the Environmental Technician (co-op optional) program is more detailed with course work/unit/hour load than the Environmental Technician (Advanced Standing) which be a strong reason getting my study visa permit?

*Question 3:* what's the best advice in this scenario since I don't mind doing the Environment Technician (co-op optional) program because my reason applying for this program is to gain in-depth environmental skills via both class coursework and field experience. I really want to get the maximum knowledge/skill for my career path.

Hi Nairalanders!
Una help abeg...

PhD student hoping to travel to Montréal by May.
Resumption is 1st of May. If one travels a week after, like the weekend of the resumption week, so as to start the following week (one week delay), will there be any issues at the POE?

* No required courses to take again upon resumption cos all courses already done online before now from Naija here. Remaining 2 years of research. But must resume this semester to complete the programme.

Will not resuming May 1st create problems at the POE?

Thanks for your input.

Blessings!
