Good evening all,

I just don't know what to do about this situation of mine.

I did my TB test last June and I was diagnosed with Pulmonary Tuberculosi. I took the medications as it was instructed for six months without missing a day. I finished the treatment in January. All along, 2nd, 5th and 6th month sputum test was carried out that says I am cleaned. The last month chest x-ray says my chest is still abnormal. The last month (6th) sputum was the same day as the x-ray.

Now, I got the results of the last month sputum on 2nd of April, which still shows I am clean. Then I proceed for another x-ray on the 5th of April, in order to process my new admission. The x-ray results showed abnormal as it has been shown previously. I thought my
sputum results should be valid since I just got it few days before the x-ray, but IOM said no that since the x-ray is abnormal that I must undergo another 8wk sputum test again.

I don't think this is fair. The doctors had told me that the regimen is 6 months plus 8weeks of the last month sputum period.

I don't just know what to do!!!

do your test at Q life or any other of the approved centres. Do not disclose anything so as not to prejudice yourself as you have completed the treatment. A 6 months treatment course is sufficient

I'm also interested in this please . As I got an admission offer from the University of Derby for the September 2023 intake. I'm only waiting for offers from other Universities which I applied to before making a firm decision . I want to know more about the availability of jobs and general cost of living in Derby if it's a good choice to Make.

From experience, I believe savings or current account is preferrred for student visa.

I know someone who got a work visa before he completed his Masters degree programme. His employer gave him time to finish his exams and he started work while working on his thesis. Essentially, it is possible.

If you can spare some money, call them. They are quite responsive.

1 University of Bolton (MA community development and youth studies) 1 year unconditional offer . Fee 13550
2 Birmingham city university ( Ma public relations) 1 year conditional offer. Fee 15870

2. Yes, please. If you state that you run a business, UKVI is most likely to check if it's active on CAC.
3. As long as all the money that's required and in both accounts meets the stipulated conditions by UKVI.
4. No. Business/Company money isn't for your personal spending. Business account is only usually used to show that one has a thriving business in Nigeria.
5. Marriage certificate, bills in both your names, joint account, tenancy agreement or property documents in both your names, pictures etc. Chat is only necessary if you've lived apart at any point in the 2 years preceding your application.
6. I believe that all airlines are flexible with change. Flexibility is usually dependent on the kind of ticket you buy.

But how do i confirm from my end that it's active before Ukvi will do their confirmation because the only thing i know is that a certificate was issued after completion of the registration

My partner is the MA, and although we have been married for 3 years with two kids, she has not changed her name. Could this pose an issue?

It's not an issue. Your marriage certificate is okay since she didn't change her name
