I did my capturing on January 9, please when is it likely to be out?. I went there on 5th of April and I was told its in DU(Data Uploaded)

If you do passport renewal, your valid visas in such passports will still be valid, your new passport will carry your expired passport number along with the new one, hence you see people (either dual citizens or expired passports and new passport holders) traveling with two or more passports

Yes, same Festac and it showed the same passport issued and collected just like yours after I collected it and still check the tracking site.

I was able to get mine (Renewal) within 2weeks, in Bayelsa. On express basis

10/10/2022 - passport renewal processed
19/12/2022 - Appointment and capturing at Ikoyi, Lagos
15/04/2023 - I'm yet to receive any sms or email from NIS, the online tracker is showing that production is in progress.

Note: some persons did theirs outside Lagos and it came out within 1week- 3weeks.

The trick is to go to states where there are less people applying for passport

Yes, I understand in Nassarawa it's 3days maximum. In some parts of the north even the passport price is cheaper officially and ready in 2 days still.

I will advise anybody who wants to renew passport or apply fresh passport and want it very fast, i Willa advice they consider any part of the north.

I did the mistake of not going to the north to apply my renewal. Contrary to what I was told that 8-12weeks is the processing time.

Now, it’s almost 16-weeks of waiting and no news of getting it this week.

A friend did in Abuja, she got a passport second day (although fast-tracked).

A friend did in Bauchi, it took less than two weeks. Same with other northern parts of the country.

You people needs to go to their office physically to confirm if your passport is ready. The tracking site stop updating after you capture and will always show production in progress until you collect your passport.

(2) Copy of Online Application Form, signed and dated (Fresh Applicants only)

(3) Copy of Payment Confirmation Slip

(4) Copy of Acknowledgement Slip

(5) Signed letter of authorization from BOTH PARENTS – signatures should match the signatures on their respective passports and names should match those on the child’s birth certificate

(6) Copy of parents’ passports (Data Page)

(7) Copy of the child’s birth certificate

Note: In case where only the mother appears on the birth certificate, she will have to present an affidavit from the court that she has full custody of the child/children.

Both parents must not have international passports, but both must sign the consent letter.
