They have not, I confirmed from one insider from their office, this morning.

Oh wow, thanks for the information.

Do you have any idea why they have not been open for months now? Or any idea when they might open? Need to know if I should shift my focus elsewhere.

Please madam, I intend to visit Portugal for 7 days so that my visa will not expire without me visiting. Please what is the price of cheapest hotel there in Lisbon. Am asking this to know if my budget will sustain me during this 7days visit
Re: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by dorobybaby(f): 10:31pm On Mar 27, 2023
I will suggest that you use Airbnb or booking.com instead of hotel.

Re: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by qtguru(m): 4:05pm On Apr 18, 2023
Can Short Stay be extended to Long stay in Portugal ?
Re: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by qtguru(m): 9:38am On Apr 19, 2023
So I made a call to VFS Lagos, they said D7 issues has to be Abuja embassy, I decided to call the Abuja embassy, they said they weren't doing Long stay at the moment only short stay, and that D7 visa can only be done in Abuja.

So meaning one has to apply outside the country, it's only short stay that's available at the moment.

Thanks for the information but I called the embassy this afternoon. They still said they have not started verification/legalization. I don't know if anyone can confirm otherwise.

Need Portugal visa

Bayobishow:

For anyone who wants to migrate to portugal through study. The first thing you should do is to
1. Apply to the school (you must have searched out the school you feel that you can afford) and wait for names to be published. Once your name comes out, then you can the begin the real process.

Next is to
Take all educational certificate to the Ministry of education and foreign affairs (both can be done same day, for those who stays outside Abuja.

When you are thru there, you will then begin with the embassy
At the embassy, you will have to do the verification process when you submit your documents(Result) there. The embassy will send your documents to NUC, then the NUC will then send it to your school, then when the school finishes, the school will send it back to NUC, then NUC will send it to the Embassy. If everything goes well, it is then that the embassy will give you a call to come and apply.

what you need are
1. a valid passport (make copies of the data page when going there)
2. a completed application form (you can watch my video on my youtube channel (How to fill out Portugal visa application )
3. two coloured passport photographs
4. copy of the school certificates that was authenticated(stamped) at the foreign affairs. For those who did their BSc outside Nigeria, you have to get from the country where you finished from
5. Acceptance letter from the school you applied in Portugal
6. Evidence of accommodation in Portugal ( you can go to booking.com and do that, then later cancel it or you request from the school you applied to, they might help you)
7. Proof of financial capability

You can as well go online, all are listed there. You will see all

I hope it helps

But someone who is already in Europe and he is with all his academic certificates. How can he legalise the certificate when he is not in Nigeria.

Yes i was at the Embassy last week.
They are only stamping the police character of applicants for for long stay, thats the only thing they are doing now, they will start verification/legalization hopefully soon and i will keep you guys posted.

Many are coming from far distance thinking they have started because of wrong information.

Re: How I Migrated To From Nigeria To Portugal by Bayobishow: 6:00pm On May 17, 2023
I'm so sorry all. I cannot respond to all questions all by myself. I know of a Nigerian in the Instituto polytecnico de leiria, 35years old as at 2019, according to him, he had BSc in nigeria but the school refused to give him result. He applied for another BSc here in Portugal and was given admission(35years). The real truth is, as a BSc student, you wont even have time to work during the week days because of classes, except, you want to leave schooling for a moment to work first but ensure that you have got ur resident card before you take that decision. Work and study for BSc might not be realistic because for BSc, you will also battle with language. As per admission, they will give you admission
Ovems:
I have looked through your YouTube channel but didn't find what I was looking for. You briefly talked about someone that got admission for a Bsc and about 2 persons in previous pages have asked about the same but they didn't get a response either. I was hoping to read a response to their question.

Please can someone who finished secondary school years ago still apply for a Bsc program? And can they work and study at the same time? Will they also be allowed to stay back after their study?

If you are already in Europe, all you need do is get your brother or sister in nigeria to assist you. Someone(find a trusted person) can do it for you, you do not have to be there,ok. It is even cheaper and better for you
