In 1979, the SW voted against Shagari in the Federal Elections . He won and their leader, Awo, went into opposition with dignity and did NOT BEG for so called FAIRNESS and EQUITY.
What did the Igbos do?
They did a deal with Shagari and were rewarded with the Speaker of the House of Reps from NPP - Azikiwe's party.
So we Had President Shehu Shagari, Sokoto State,
Vice President, Alex Ekwueme from Anambra State.
Senate President, Joseph Wayas- Cross River State.
Speaker, House of Representatives Edwin Ume-Ezeoke from Anambra State.
The Yoruba were proud and dignified in opposition. Not for one day, begginng for seats or sympathy.
They are not desperate to be in the centre sharing yam.
They accepted the CONSEQUENCES of their voting choices, with dignity.
They did not scream about equity and fairness.
One state , One people Had the VP and Speaker and no Yoruba called them "GREEDY" or BETRAYERS.It has happened before. It is not new!!
The difference is some people have pride and dignity.

If Nigeria was your country, nobody would have to beg for equity and fairness. Equity and fairness is a packaged deal that comes with your country, and you are assured of it as a citizen

If any Nigerian has to beg for equity and fairness in their own country, it is not their country

The fact that Joe Igbokwe acknowledges that people have to beg for fairness and equity in their own country, but makes light jest of it, shows that the man belongs to the stone age

Assume there is no APC senator from the south east region
I don't think this noise about SE producing the Senate president will arise
So the politicians from South East are the ones fighting for their political survival it has nothing to do with Ndigbo

Where in your dream did Igbos beg APC for position ?

Sort your internal issues and leave Igbos alone

oga the same tribe you are hyping because of what you may get, went with strong delegation to protest during GoodLuck Jonathan's tenure, complaining of marginalization despite being in the opposition. GEJ supported a south westerner Mulikat Akande for speaker house of representatives but Tinubu and co for personal and selfish reasons preferred a North westerner,in the person of Aminu Tambuwal and the treachery led to Tambuwal becoming the speaker.

Do you know the meaning of ignore?

A man who has served under every administration in Lagos for a while now.

Engr Joe Igbokwe joined Lagos State Government in 2006 as the pioneer General Manager of Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance & Regulatory Agency (LASIMRA) and served there for more than 10 yrs contributing significantly to the quest to make Lagos a Smart City. In 2105, he was appointed as the pioneer Chairman of Wharf Landing Fees Collecting Authority, WLFCA in Apapa serving till his appointment as a member of the cabinet of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Joe Igbokwe has been the Publicity Secretary of the State chapter of the defunct Action Congress (AC), which later fused into Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and metamorphosed into All Progressives Congress (APC) since 2007 and has been the Pioneer Chairman of Conference of APC Publicity Secretaries across Nigeria since 2014.

He currently serves as Special Adviser for Drainage & Water Resources to Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu.

Joe Igbokwe and his foolish talks.

Igbo people are not begging for the position of senate. It is Orji Uzor who is a member of your party APC that is begging for the position.

Be brave and stop being a coward. Call the name of Orji Uzor and stop dragging the entire Igbo tribe everytime you inhale Tinubu's cocaine.

North should have the Senate presidency And speaker house of reps. Leave Igbos out of your madness.

And if any Igbo in APC is jostling for any position, you're at liberty to string him up, or do whatever you want with him. After all he didn't bring vote to Tinubu the chief thief....
When you kill him, We won't mourn him. We won't raise dust because of him. You will go completely Scot free.

Don't listen to any Igbo APC politician, they are not of us, they don't speak for us, and their local political value is next to none. Finito
