In 2020, Shell Nigeria Gas, which provides gas to industrial and commercial customers in Nigeria, completed its 20-kilometre domestic gas pipeline expansion project in Abia State in south-eastern Nigeria. The pipeline connects three key industrial zones and supplies gas to a consortium providing electricity to the Ariaria market. The market is one of the largest leather-shoe-making and open-stall markets in West Africa, with more than 37,000 shops and around 1 million traders.

Shell Nigeria Gas has also started building a large gas processing plant in the city of Aba, Abia State,

Nice this is what is needed for rapid industrialized growth.

Sadly the AKK project meant to replicate such up north is saddled with cost overruns with no more willing investors....

Major states has to invest in gas transport infrastructure, airport is good but gas plants and pipeline is better.
Imagine major zone with adequate downstream supply, mega power stations for industrial and domestic use....
The problem? Inadequate funding of gas infrastructure, I'm not sure the FG and states governments are viewing these as outmost priorities.
They prefer to build roads and flyovers without direct returns....

Is this IPP Geometric? If not, who owns this one? I've lost track of the ownership and number of IPPs in the state?

was writing a petition against this company. I just left it. Many evil things are happening in this company and the govt don't want to look into it. The type of dehumanization going on in that company ehhh. Is it drugs been sold around the environment?.. where do you even want to start from. The military there are even helping to facilitate the dehumanization. Story for another day shaa

Aba used to be an industrial hub until Orji Uzor Kalu and his cronies took over Abia state, desecrated it and stole everything in sight.

No wonder nobody takes his ambition to be Senate President seriously.

Inasmuch I do not support tribalism, healthy developmental competitions amongst the geopolitical zones in Nigeria is welcomed most especially in areas where they have individual comparative advantages. This will coax synergy and help to foster a kind of symbiotic relationship which will augur well for national unity and integration.
