They can’t criminalize protests. It is your fundamental human right. These politicians are jokers and they must all perish. Mob actions and riots can be criminalized, but not protests or unlawful assembly as they called it. 73 Likes 5 Shares |

DatNiggaDaz: LMAO. Let me give an analogy that describes Nigeria and Nigerians perfectly. If there are 2 drinks, one sweet and healthy, and the other filled with worms and bacteria,. Nigerians will actually not know which one to pick! Sounds impossible right? Now if Igbos say, let's take the sweet one, Nigerians will immediately stop being confused, and resolve to take the bad one. This is Nigeria for you. 14 Likes |

CorrectionFLuid:Na juju trust me. How can someone not kniw what is good or bad until an Igbo man is involved. According to your analogy, I strongly believe that the the day all Igbos will say " hey come let suppoert Tinubu and see if some people will like and see him [Tinubu] as their god again"". I guess you will see how those who kill for him will hate him cos of the Igbo man. Well I know the Igbo people, they don't support nonsense 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Saga16: Are Igbos the majority in the HOR ? Is PDP the majority party in the HOR? How come the bill is making progress then? It's obvious the Fulani and Yoruba-led federal government has sponsored yet another erulefu in Imo state, to front this bill, while they support it massively from behind the scenes 7 Likes |

BossGerald: Shatap. The person I quot3d deliberately stated it was done by APC. Because igbos don't vote APC, it is pertinent to expose him for who he is. How do you feel knowing the bill was sponsored by PDP and an igbo man at that? 27 Likes 3 Shares |

*CHINEDU, GBAJABIAMILA, OTHERS BAG PRESS CORPS AWARDS* *SPEAKER CLEARS AIR ON CONTROVERSIAL BILL AGAINST JUNGLE JUSTICE* Hon. Emeka Martins Chinedu of Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as well as other prominent Lawmakers, received House of Representatives Press Corps Award, yesterday. The Award of excellence, which was held at Executive Hall, International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja, was the 2nd edition of the House of Representatives Press Corps Dinner/Award. The award ceremony also presented an opportunity for the Speaker of the House of Representatives to throw more light on the Bill seeking to guard against Killing of innocent Nigerians through Jungle justice. An elated Hon. Emeka Martins Chinedu bagged Award for Excellence for Constituency development, while the Special Guest of Honour, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, also received an award for Excellence. Hon. Emeka Martins Chinedu's Award according to the Press Corps, is in recognition of his outstanding performance as a Legislator in the last two years, especially in Constituency Projects and activities. The Corps' also acknowledged his contributions on the floor and his deep knowledge of Legislative business and contribution to debates. Other recipients of the Awards are: the Leader of the house, Hon. Alhassan Doguwu; the Chief Whip, Hon. Mohammad Mongono; Deputy Chief Whip, Hon.Nkiruka Onyejeocha; the House Minority leader, Hon. Ndudi Elumelu and a few others. The Special Guest of Honor, Rt. Hon. Gbajabiamila, who spoke extensively about the Jungle justice Bill, used the opportunity to condemn in strong terms, a section of the Media whose stock in trade is to mischievously twist well intended Legislative works for pecuniary benefits. Narrating what he termed mischief, he posited that: "sometime, some people, might even be a minority of the journalists will twist the truth for a particular end. Sometimes for political end, sometimes for economic end and sometimes for whatever reason that doesn't help anybody and doesn't help the Country. "The other day, somebody reported from Vanguard, and said a member, and it made the rounds, all over, that a member of the house and the house have passed a Bill to criminalise protest, and to jail protesters for protesting. ''And there was no such thing in the House. Nothing like that! And the gentleman had to come up to the floor of the House a day or two later under personal explanation because he was bombarded by his constituency, that there is no such thing. ''Now, is it mischievous reporting or genuine mistake'', he asked. '' And if it were genuine mistake, I had expected that for something so serious, the newspaper responsible would have come out the next day, rather than the member himself, even if it's a tiny print and corrected itself, that sorry for this misinformation, this did not happen, we regret our error. End of Story. I haven't seen that, and it's been a week now". He however advised that: "we must be honest, so that we can get better". It will be recalled that a well-intended Bill Sponsored by Rep. Emeka Martins Chinedu, in order to guard against Killing of innocent Nigerians through Jungle justice, was twisted by the Media on the imprimatur of mischievous elements to appear like he was against lawful Protests and Assembly in Nigeria.
