And if the doctor goes on strike ,dead body no go surplus.

I think the best thing is to hire qualified advocate doctors from private hospital so that death can be minimised as long as all file for patients are kept and properly documented .

The private hospitals no need them?
Or u think it's every doctor that want s to work in a government hospital with all the workload?

It is poor of course, however the government is not fair to anyone in the country

You think they would just be given that kind of raise at once? shocked

As if we are talking about another country here not this same one we are all in
BennyDGreat:

How can 200% raise be idan?

These guyz are poorly paid....poorly...

Even the 200% is just for sometime. Look at the economy nau....Doctors earning less than 1k USD a month....haba....that's suffering I must tell u

Government is playing.
These days, on average, a house officer has at least 20 to 40+ patients to manage.
My colleague had 49 patients in burns and plastic unit to attend to every morning at one point.
He's done with housejob but has sworn not to practice again.

Government won't equip universities so that they can have accreditation and graduate doctors on time.

Hospitals are not taking doctors.

I just dey laf
Many units now don't even have a regsitrar.
Only senior registrars.

Time is ticking out.

can u hint us on the present salary scale accross cadres of doctors in federal hospital. that will help us understand if this 200% raise is justified.

There are at lot of doctors in private hospitals that will take up this adhoc job on shift .

for doctors working for teaching hospitals is like engineers working for NNPC, the additional benefits is that it comes with more experience to boost their profile .

200
280
350
500 to 1 mill

Thing is, even tho the salary of doctors, even the most junior doctor seems very okay, compared to other salary jobs, I tell u what, the work u go do as that most junior doctor go make u forget the money and that's not even the amount out counterparts are earning outside( with far less workload)

Even if am paid 500k as a junior doctor trust me the workload swallows up everything.

By my estimation, a house officer (fresh out of university)who is at the lowest level Shud earn nothing less than 400k.
If u understand that there are doctors working straight 1 to 3 months call in many government hospitals u will see what I mean.
I once worked 5 days straight cos I was the only one in my unit and had to wait for another doctor to join me.

On shift?
How will they manage the patients wholesomely?

Unless they want to draft plenty doctors.

Trust me, for every 1 doctor to be replaced, they will need like 3 .
Cos the working system is different

U have little knowledge on how this thing work. Na same Doc wey dey work for teaching hospital dey cover private Hosp for night, eaching Hosp by day, private by night,

Just few ones are permanent in private due to circumstances.
Those permanent in private are getting their good pay with their limited knowledge, and they can't replace Resident Doc who are Semi-specialist already.

Don't worry ,the reputable recruitment agency that will get the contract to engage the doctors will avoid all these kinds .

I think the exchange rate isnt helping...because the 1m for even consultant is just 1200 pounds at best.
I think the focus should be on improving the economy otherwise doctors will continue to leave esp now that it's very easy.

The question below is meant for Sane & Reasonable People only.

As a Man who is about to start life. Do you still want to Pro-Create in a Demonic Infested place like Nigeria??

Have you now seen clearly that the Elites and their Puppets are not Human Beings..

Yes. Being Ad-hoc is demeaning. You get to have a good job with the government and then kiss it bye later. If it was private organizations, it isn't new.
The government should find better ways to settle their scores with the doctors.
