Conference league and now Europa. Remember he used to coach Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

Forgetting his losing streak in Manchester United that got him kicked out of the club?
he has achieved a lot with the likes of Madrid, man united, chelsea, porto etc in European cup competitions

He has done it with big and lesser teams. Dominating Europe 2wice with a less fancied porto(uel and uel in the space of 2 seasons), winning Roma their first ever European trophy(uecl) and in just a year took the same team to the finals of the uel

Jose is not scared of challenges and I doubt pep will ever take the risk of accepting a move to a club like Porto or even Roma with poor financial backing

Pep started he’s career with barca that were high flying in europe and laliga (though he rebuilt the team to suit he’s philosophy and tactics) and conquered europe and laliga during he’s stay with the Catalona based side before moving again to a rich and strong Bayern team that hv dominated the bundesliga for so many years and even won the ucl before he joined

Now he is with rich man city where he has funds at he’s disposal to buy any player he wants. So why won’t he dominate coupled with the fact that he is a tactical genius with tons of money to spend?

I challenge pep to move to atalanta,Lazio or even Roma and let’s watch how things will pan out

I respect pep as a tactical guru coupled with he’s achievements in he’s coaching career so far but pls put some respect to the name of other coaches especially Jose mourinho

It is not that Jose is not scared of challenges, it is that he is tactically weak compared to others. So, he has to coach the likes of Roma and even Tottenham. Remember, Jose was doing pundit work before Roma. The big clubs are not chasing him. Clubs like Barca, and Bayern will pick the likes of Tuchel and Nagelsmann over him.

He is now tactically left behind. This result you people are celebrating against Bayer Leverkusen actually shows his tactical mediocrity.

Pep Guardiola can buy any player but he promotes Rico Lewis, grooms Foden, buys an unknown Sergio Gomez, plays Ake as a left-back, plays Cancelo as a left-back, plays Stones in midfield as an inverted full-back, etc, instead of spending money buying players to plug gaps.

Pep's gets less credit than he deserves.

Check well. Pellegrini, Mancini etc spent that money in Mancity.
and didn’t they win trophies for city after the spending?

I am not trying to say both are at the same level with pep or better than him but the end point is that they won the epl and other English cup titles same as pep hv done over the years

Ranking the 10 best wingers in world football for 2023

8. Manchester City LW Jack Grealish

Although Jack Grealish has been criticized for not scoring and assisting as often as other players, the young Premier League standout has proven to be worth the money Manchester City spent to pry him away from Aston Villa.

An exciting player to watch on the ball, Grealish never stops working for his team. His pressing and progression were crucial in Man City’s Champions League demolition of Bayern München.

Grealish consistently creates chaos, opening up so much space for his teammates. He, along with Kevin De Bruyne, deserves a lot of praise for helping facilitate Erling Haaland’s record-breaking goal-scoring.

Do you know man city’s academy system is one of the best/richest in world football? Also it’s the duty of a coach to promote bright talents from the nursery to the main team so what’s the big deal?

Those academy players you mentioned how many games hv they played this season? The guy is signed from anderlecht how many games has he played this season? For him to sign him implies he saw something he loved in the lads games which is normal for every coach to do no matter where the player is coming from

No be chelsea bring de bruyne to English football before he left for Germany? Abi na pep be the first to sign a player from the Belgian league?

You are funny boss🤣🤣🤣

he isn’t tactically weak but deploys a tactics that he believes in

He mustn’t play the way you want to appease you sir instead he plays the way he believes will get him he’s major objectives as a coach which are winning games and trophies

It takes time to break into Manchester City. It takes a lot of work. Grealish was not having a steady run of games, today, he is a regular starter. it took Foden time, and today, he is still not a regular. It is too early for Gomez to break in.

Mourinho believes he is tactically weaker, and deploys system to help him deal with opponents he considers tactically superior.

The worst is losing the ucl final to a less fancied chelsea team. That is one game I never bothered watching because I thought city will disgrace tuchel and he’s Boys but my jaw dropped when I saw the final result 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I pray inter doesn’t cause the same upset soon because I so much believe this season’s ucl belongs to city cus it’s long over due

He got Roma job less than 24hrs after leaving Tottenham but had to wait till season ends to take over.
Even Roma owners confirmed this.

Maybe, you are missing the context of the argument. The argument is that Guardiola has unlimited funds and dips his hands into the large funds of Manchester City to buy players to fill his squad.

However, since Mendy's challenge, he decided to play Zinchenko, a central midfielder in that role, then played Cancelo, a right back in that role, then Ake, Foden, Bernado Silva, Akanji etc. Instead of spending to get a natural left back.

Understand?

Finito.

Pep Guardiola made his name by coaching a Barca B side to play so brilliantly that he was giving the job of the Barcelona main team. He has already proven himself with a small team and does not need to do it again.

no finito here cus I gave you a good example with how ten hag hv done the same even with he’s poor squad depth

I told you that is the reason why players than can play different positions on the pitch are highly thought of in football, even less takented ones like ex Le Blue player Matuidi and ex united South Korean JS park.

Even Rooney has the same attribute for instance he can be played from any position upfront and even in the latter stage of he’s career was dropped deeper on the pitch sometimes

You tend to make up trash just to hv something to argue on 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The point is simple. Guardiola does not spend money anyhow. He makes tactical adjustments to manage the team.

Football is long term. Those such games do not mean as much as improving yourself as a tactician. With time, you will seat with the big boys and others will get kicked out because their titles is short lived than tactical masters that last long at the big table.
