Football is long term. Those such games do not mean as much as improving yourself as a tactician. With time, you will seat with the big boys and others will get kicked out because their titles is short lived than tactical masters that last long at the big table.
With time, with time

1st Decade: Mourinho wins 2 trophies
2nd Decade: Another 2
3rd Decade: 1 in the bag, another 50/50

Accurate time keeper

I am more excited about the future with Guardiola disciples rising.

Xabi Alonso looks a true student of Guardiola principles. Same with Xavi and Company. More will rise and the game will be played in a far lovelier fashion with more tactical points to talk about.

and didn’t they win trophies for city after the spending?

I am not trying to say both are at the same level with pep or better than him but the end point is that they won the epl and other English cup titles same as pep hv done over the years

My point is Guardiola spent huge money to achieve success in Mancity.

Championship Champions - Burnley - Manager -- Vincent Kompany - Style -- heavy possession football
La Liga Champions - Barcelona - Manager -- Xavi Hernandes - Style -- heavy possession football
English Premier League (likely champions) - Manchester City - Manager -- Pep Guardiola - - Style -- heavy possession football[/i]

Yeah i admire Guardiola
because he is definng a new era of Football.
Without Guardiola football will loose its fans.
A ten year old boy will not enjoy watchng Maurinho teams
and with Maurinho 30 years from now football may loosed its popularity
Its becuase of creative players like pele, maradona, ronaldo, messi etc\
that football became popular not boring 1 nill wins where you win a 38 match league by
scoring only 45 goals.

Secondly, Guardiola's method are truly innovative.
I think he invented the concept of the midfield playing full back.
Maurinho may not be remembered for nothing except winning.
He is not bringing beauty to football.
50 years from now, everyone will be talking about Guardiorla.
His style will be copied for a long time

In the long term, the possessive/offensive side will succeed more.

That is why Pep is winning multiple leagues in the Premier league and Mourinho can't win one.

The final has to do with luck and not tactical brilliance

Finito.

Alaye Pep keeps winning because he has oil money to spend at city, he had Messi at Barca, and he walked into a Bayern team that won a treble the season before he arrived.

The statement you made above is the reason why Pep isn't popular among most football fans.... His fans like yourself always make it seem like he's some demigod.

Guardiola is a brilliant tactician, no one disputes that fact, but he isn't the best untill he can achieve what folks like Klopp, Ancelotti, Mourinho and Diego someone have achieved with less fancied sides and with far less resources.

He can buy three 50million pounds leftbacks in one season and three 40 million pounds centre back the same season and end up not playing any of them! How many coaches have that luxury?

Barcelona had Messi and went two seasons without winning a trophy. So that point off-tangent. With Messi, they were trophyless and with Guardiola, Messi became an icon. Do the maths.

The same Klopp Guardiola has dominated repeatedly in the league. Let Klopp come and win Premier League titles with Guardiola in the league repeatedly.

The same Klopp that was in England and Guardiola won all domestic trophies in one season.

No one said Guardiola is a demi-god. We say the man is trying and is above most of the coaches. Heck, he just put four unreplied goals against Ancelotti's real madrid. Put five unreplied goals against Mourinho's real madrid. Haba. The man is trying.

Guardiola bought left back expensive and not use the left back, that means the left back did not help him win. Haba.

Mourinho does not penetrate, he stands at the door with all his clothes on. That is why Xabi Alonso had six on target and Mourinho had none. Xabi Alonso had 20 shots and Mourinho one. How can you analogically term what Mourinho is doing penetration?

Mourinho believes he is tactically weaker, and deploys system to help him deal with opponents he considers tactically superior.

Finito.
Why differentiating between tactics and deploying systems?
What is a tactic sir? Oxford dictionary defines tactic as an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end.
As such against Bayer, Mourinho's actions or strategies which were carefully planned achieved it's required specific end, in other words, Mourinho's tactics was successful.
Thank you and I already know you would never agree, just saying it the way it is

Simple question for the basketball NBA fans which team do you remember between the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls from the late 80s and early 90s? The answer perfectly captures theme around the whole Guardiola and Mourinho debate.

I respect Jose as a born winner but his brand of football is hurtful to my eyes to watch.

A big manager like Jose Mourinho should be playing in the Uefa champions league and not the Europa league or conference league.

What on Earth would take Pep to conference league or even Europa league, that's a very big downgrade.(can't even imagine that)

A win against small teams like Bodo glimt, Dinamo Tirana, Braga, gent e.t.c are not worth celebrating.

If Mourinho's style brings the most victories and success, he would be coaching a top club today. Same man that got kicked out from clubs due to his poor tactics, you are trying to sell such poor style as 5 star general. cheesy

Ancelloti at some point was coaching Everton.. Did that mean he was still not a top coach at that time? Roma might not be a big team in Europe, but they are decent enough...and with limited resources,he has achieved good things.
You think if Mourinho leaves Roma today, no top club will attempt to recruit him?
In life, we put in different kind of efforts into what we do, but ultimately,it is the end result we will be remembered for most...
