If I should sincerely rank capital cities without bias.

1. Port harcourt (without any single doubt, this is the best capital in Nigeria, Port harcourt is almost like the whole of lagos).
2. Kano
3. Kaduna
4. Enugu/Ibadan (for industrialization, I will go for Ibadan. For planning and serenity, I will go for Enugu).
6. Owerri/Ikeja (owerri is way bigger with more road infrastructure than Ikeja, while Ikeja is more densely built and many parts of Ikeja tarred, although these roads are substandardly tarred).
8. Uyo/Calabar (for road infrastructure, I will give it to Uyo but Calabar is better planned and seem to be more active than Uyo. Uyo seem to be bigger by landmass but Uyo is looking scanty, calabar is a very small city by landmass).
10. Ilorin/Jos/Benin (Ilorin is very planned with good roads, same as Jos but ilorin to me seem to be a better city than Jos, Jos does not really have some massive buildings). Benin city is large and also have some good roads in it.

After these then you can then mention cities like:
Akure and Abeokuta, they are also a little nice.

Cities like Abakaliki will be in this league soon if they can keep up with this current pace. Awka will make the list if they can enlarge zik avenue, construct a wide dualized road from Abagana to zik Avenue and also connect unizik road to Aroma junction with a wide dualized road. Awka already has some structures to compete but they don't have wide roads aside the expressway

Port Harcourt is just 390km². How can it be almost the size of Lagos that is 3,577km²?

Epe alone is 3 times bigger than Port Harcourt not to talk of Lagos? Abeg make una dey make findings before talking.

Port harcourt is not 390km, it data should be for just Phalga and Obio akpo. If you add port harcourt metropolitan surburbs, it's as big as the Wole of lagos mainland. I can prove it

You need to add eleme, obigbo, Port harcourt is large. Just that a lot of Yorubas hardly travel, so you rely on internet a lot

Owerri road infrastructure more than Ikeja!? Hmmm! grin

Stop lying, oga. You even shot yourself in the foot by saying many part of Ikeja are tarred. What about Owerri?

If say I never reach Owerri I for no talk.

the oil industry is port harcourt worth more than anything you want to mention in Ibadan and Aba combined

Lol, although oil exploitation and exploration can be termed industry, but if the oil is not refined there then it's not tangible.

I agree it's worth more than the industries in Ibadan and Aba,but it's more like a rent seeking economy.

the distance from Boro camp to oyigbo in port Harcourt is farther than from constain to Ikorodu in Lagos.

These are two straight lines, Port harcourt is large, very large. Don't depend on internet. Port harcourt is as large as the whole of lagos mainland.

Try dey travel

have you been to owerri?

Ikeja is very small, it's like one area in owerri.

Even at that, owerri still has more roads. The distance frkm Ikeja under bridge to olowopopo way where Ikeja ends is not even up to 5km

Oba akran to Maryland through mobolaji Anthony is not even up to 7km. Ikeja is small

Ikeja small, the whole stretch of Ikeja from Guinness in Oba akran to Maryland is just 8km.

From ihiagwa in owerri to Amatta in same owerri is 22km, that distance is further than from igando bus top at the extreme of Alimosho to Maryland. Maps don't lie

Make una try dey travel. Una go dey una bed dey type wetin una no know

North Central.
Lafia is terrible for a capital city.
Minna is not that good too.
Forget lokoja the aura and atmosphere alone oozes of nonsense.

North west
Gusau the name suggest its gutter.
Sokoto that one is just there.

North East
Except for maiduguri and gombe the rest are rubbish.

South South
Yenagoa is over rated.
Benin too many old buildings.

South East.
Umuahia is rubbish.
Abakaliki is picking up compared to the last time I was there.
Awka could still do better.
Owerri is not that bad.

I have been to all the states in Nigeria so I am talking from experience.

So all state capitals in southwest are developed for you to omit it while criticizing others?

Spot on!

Especially Lokoja. That state has capacity to become the next industrial hub, just like Abuja which is a stone 🪨 throw from it! But the Governor's sole interests are pilfering and watching BBN.

You mean Yoruba MURIC people who embraced Pa Awo's free education but now employ their education on paving the route of the sharia states to Islamize the entire Nigeria 🇳🇬?
If Yoruba MURIC people deploy 10% of the knowledge they got from their education, to improvement of Nigeria, the country would not have been as bad as it's today; the country would not have been the poverty capital of the world and one of the most terrorised countries on earth.

No state capital in Nigeria is developed, they are all pieces of shit including ikeja and Port harcourt by global standard but the worst I have visited are as follows:

1. Lokoja (this one na dead place)
2. Lafia (na only two dualized road dey for here)
3. Ado Ekiti (mtcheew)
4 Umuahia (the government here is sleeping)
5. Yenegoa (this place na total disgrace).
6. Awka ( it's an expressway capital with 3 flyovers and 2 dualized roads)

The best I have visited by Nigerian standard are:
1. Port harcourt
2. Enugu
3. Ibadan
4. Owerri
5. Ilorin
6. Ikeja

Ps: I have not visited Kaduna and Kano state.

Kaduna is ok.
Kano is actually better than many of our southern states.

Do these picture represent the most beautiful parts of the states? Because I know that all the 36 states including the FCT have traces of places like these.

Northerners don’t worship their politicians as we do in the south, they’re the only ones who come together to assault and beat up politicians unlike us who defend our failed politicians cause they’re from our region and or are Christians. Is there any governor/senator from the south who is not a billionaire?
