I have been reasoning, having traveled to most state capitals in Nigeria and seening how underdevelop most capital cities are, it is pertinent to state the list of the most underveloped capital cities in Nigeria by geo-political zone:

(1) south east - Umuahia (Abia state).

(2) South south - Yenogoa (Bayelsa state).

(3) South west - Ado ekiti (Ekiti state).

(4) North central - Lokoja (Kogi state).

(5) North east - Damaturu (Yobe state).

(6) North west - Gusau (Zamfara state).

What is your opinion on this rating? Please no insult guys.

There is no developed city in Nigeria. Development is not by how many buildings you have.
Do you have good accesible road network? Properly equipped hospitals? Access to water and electricity? Etc. It's 2023 and there are pit toilets everywhere in Nigeria. The country itself is not developed. Period.
uyo is the best by this rating

Umuahia township is well planned, what she needs are modern buildings, good infrastructures and sanitation. The shopping complex located at the former Ogwumabiri market should be removed or redesigned.

Nchenches:

In bold:
And you think you know what development of state capital is? And you don't take into account the development of the entire Imo state?
Okigwe, Orlu and Owerri were on nearly equal status of urban development in 1976 when Imo state was created.

But because people of Owerri zone in a primitive greed style lobbied for, and got located in Owerri all institutions of government that induce modern development wherever located, no consideration for Okigwe and Orlu zones; that is what you are celebrating.
Result is Imo state governors struggle to provide matching urban infrastructures in only the expanding Owerri; as most of the population in Okigwe and Orlu zones drift to Owerri which is now made up of Old Owerri, New Owerri and other Owerris springing up in the once rural areas in Owerri senattorial district.
The underdevelopment of rest of Imo state outside Owerri district is stinking. The underdevelopment has since 2011 been accelerated by two hatefilled governors from Orlu senatorial district who see a political enemy in Orlu LGA. The present governor has since inception of his administration, practically arrested modern development in Orlu, the 2nd largest urban centre in Imo state. He is very happy for what he has done. As he cannot do a development project outside Owerri except reconstructing federal roads linking Owerri to other places in Imo State. You count the blessings of your Owerri hometown but do not count the arrested development of rest of Imo state.

That's one thing with you Africans, after I highlighted factual/verifiable points why owerri is miles ahead in development, you now Wana join issues with entire imo..lol but bad news for you... You still can't beat the level of developments in these areas in imo state:

Mgbirichi, umuagwo, izombe, oguta, obowo, 7 and half, Amaigbo (home town of king Jaja), Nkwere, isinweke, umuoguma, owaala, Arondizogu, egbu, okigwe town, okwele,
there's this LGA that's close to Amaraku, like an alternative route to Amuzari, that place is built with sophistication.

Boy!!!, you need to travel!

Lokoja is very Very dirty ahhh!! Imagine I thought I was in one of the local governments I didn't know I was inside capital

I don't know of Lokoja of today. But the Lokoja I know as at 2017/18/19 is nothing but dirty. You may be correct when you say it's lacking in basic infrastructure and given it small size and strategic location, it ought to be one of the most developed capital cities in Nigeria.

But Lokoja is not dirty.

North Central.
Lafia is terrible for a capital city.
Minna is not that good too.
Forget lokoja the aura and atmosphere alone oozes of nonsense.

North west
Gusau the name suggest its gutter.
Sokoto that one is just there.

North East
Except for maiduguri and gombe the rest are rubbish.

South South
Yenagoa is over rated.
Benin too many old buildings.

South East.
Umuahia is rubbish.
Abakaliki is picking up compared to the last time I was there.
Awka could still do better.
Owerri is not that bad.

I have been to all the states in Nigeria so I am talking from experience.
Did you say Abakiliki is just picking up ? You say picking up ?

For me, I think all state capitals in Naija are still ahead of Jalingo in Taraba State.
Thereā€˜s nothing special about the place With just one dualised road and one fly-over which was recently built and commissioned today 19/5/2023.
Every other road in the so called State capital leads to the Farms.

well, I may not know about kano because I am not conversant there but always lemme tell you the truth ibadan has infrasture. sometimes u cannot compare city together because of some factors.. IBadan as a city is larger than kano in terms of land mass.. Its very hard for any government in the state to develop the city uniformally..

No.

I was born there so I know what I'm talking about. Even by your so called 'Nigerian standard', Ibadan is not okay (whatever that means). It has very serious problems.
