I don’t think more than 20k regular Russian forces have been killed/wounded since the war started. And the bulk of the casualties they took happened during the first 2months of the war and in Lyman. Outside that - they haven’t really been that much involved apart from Kherson and Mariupol.

Russia currently has about 2million active forces and almost 700k of them are chilling somewhere in Southern Ukraine, Luhansk and along the borders. Those doing most of the heavy fighting are Wagner and the separatists albeit regular Russian forces are supporting them with artillery.

Donetsk where Bakhmut is located is heavily fortified with underground tunnels and deep trenches. You don’t throw your elite forces in a frontal assault meat grinder such as that - you use expendable forces hence it’s well suited for Wagner since it has a lot of hardened prisoners in its rank. But they were supported with artillery by Russian VDV (paratroopers), tho. Ukraine can throw its elite forces there because it’s the most strategic point in Ukraine for logistics (the primary node for rail transport) - it’s also high ground and its strongest line of defence.

I think a lot of you need to study this war without bias because it’s providing the best education of what modern warfare looks like in real time with a real war. The last time the world witnessed something like this was in Vietnam.

I have taken time to monitor the Russia/Ukraine war. And it is so bad that propaganda has been made to look like a special tool for use in seeking political office. However, I have identified certain similarities and they are no more surprising. The western media establishments are guilty in this respect and some foolish Nigerians are dishonourable members of their cabal.
1. They made the West and the US to look like saints, whereas they are the real devils sane minds should start now to be avoiding. Exactly the same way they made Tinubu and his bandwagon of thieves their benefactors, who are now gearing ready to spit on the misery of their frustrated acolytes.
2. They underestimated Russia, denouncing her prowess, while giving credence to nothingness. They said it of Obi and Labour Party, using words they are now scared of. They said Labour Party is structureless, social-media platform, and cannot elicit enough votes, and that Obi has no political weight or electoral value to shake the polity.
3. They taunted Russia, saying she is not able to overwhelm Ukraine as she had proclaimed she would. It is on record that Russia is not fighting Ukraine alone, but much of Europe, UK, US, and some NATO-affiliate belligerent countries. Just like they fabricated a lie to make it look like Obi is fighting a lone battle for him alone. The sole truth is that Obi is fighting so many battles just to ensure that Nigerians are truly emancipated.
The truth is finally out there. So go and search for it and make the electoral rigger and mandate thief a sorry loser, because if it is BAD, it's BAD, but if it's a BAT, it is so very, very BAD.
