awys: Google "NIPCA Immigrant Centre", open the website and click on "Join Now" tab. You will be added to a 2500+ member community where you could get practical advice. Do that first before committing to any bootcamp! 5 Likes 2 Shares |

awys: I would say go for data analytics, data and web pay almost same but there are more things to learn in dev and more things to do. Check out lighthouselab bootcamp, they were funded by the government to give scholarship at some point this year, I don't know if it's still open. Likewise, don't be limited to Manitoba, I don't know how the tech job market is over there but you should always be open to remote 2 Likes |

jaiyeola007: If you're still in Nigeria, check with your bank cos there might be charges involved, otherwise carry dollars either usd or cad and buy temporary credit card at the airport if you so require. |

Good Evening, Quick question. Can a family of 5 survive with an income of 140 CAD in Oshawa? Wife does not work for now. Plan to land finally over summer after soft landing last year. Thanks for your help. |

NuCypher: Must be 140k cad. Not 1400 or 140.. na die matter be that. Or he meant 140 a day 😑 |

AirBay:Very unlikely. Though it's possible, it's not typical to get a job paying that much from Naija and they won't be rushing you to come over immediately. |

I just saw that you’re moving to Calgary. My family and I are based in Calgary and we’ve been here for over 24 years now. Do let me know if you need any assistance in settling in Calgary once you arrive. Also my church offers free settlement services and provides assistance with securing accommodation and help with resume for job search. Let me know if you need more details. njambert: 9 Likes |

Don’t sound ignorant or limited in your mind. Not everything is a scam. Yes this account is new and we’ve intentionally come to Naiaraland to cater to new immigrants coming to the city of Calgary. Visit www.gmcccalgary.org to learn more about who we are. Our church in Calgary offers settlement services in Calgary for free. Emails can be sent to info@gmcccalgary.org. So what’s a scam about the above? Have we asked for any money to be sent to us? Have we asked for anyone’s personal information to be divulged? Deltayankeeboi: 7 Likes |

letsfarmnigeria: Hello friends, I am working on getting my DL extract AKA Driving history/record before I leave for Canada(Saskatchewan) in July. I have been directed to an FRSC website. I wonder if anyone has got an experience using the website to obtain the DL extract? They also asked about the address, email and phone number of the receiving authority. I am not sure about how to get that. Additionally, the mentioned that the delivery mode is digital copy... I have read where some folks said that they were asked to get the hardcopy of the original extract. Any contribution to all these questions will be appreciated. 1 Like |

SLOVFO: The address is the Saskatchewan licensing authority google it to see their full name, they will send soft copy but what people do is to look for a computer center and print it out as coloured so you can have hard copy as well |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by SLOVFO(m): 8:26pm On May 22, 2023 |
letsfarmnigeria: Thanks for this insight. I wanted to be sure before I coughed out their 50K fee. Can't afford to waste money. And one more question, please. Do you know if it has validity period like that of police character certificate? If so, I may schedule the application close to my travel time. |
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by letsfarmnigeria: 10:51pm On May 22, 2023 |
SLOVFO: I don't really know about validity but to be on the safer side if it can be done a month or less before ur travel it will be good then when u travel you start the process so that even if there is validity it can't be less than 3months 1 Like |
