We have to strengthen local Governments.
Many of these crises especially in Plateau and the North West have been going on especially since the Obasanjo era. We thank God now for social media that makes us feel the pain from other parts of Nigeria and know watz up.

Even if we strengthen local governments and the security outfits continue to look the other way when these atrocities occur, the militants would only grow more bold. Buhari fvcked up seriously on security and economy. He didn't show any hunger for success on anything meaningful in his 8 years. Thank God the olodo has less than a week to go.

That's the logic behind the clamours for state policing. I live in the South West and I can categorically tell you that since the introduction of Amotekun, as ragtag as it is, incidences of such attacks have reduced. Not making a move to bring any perpetrator to book for such atrocities is what I have against Buhari. He is always unperturbed.

Tinubu's successor Fashola took this a step further by establishing the Security Trust Fund.

Today, relative to population, Lagos is the most peaceful state in Nigeria. Why can't other states copy these models?

It seems the governors do not know they are the chief security officers of their states. The protection of their territories should be important to them. First thing is to outlaw cattle roaming around by flushing out the Fulanis in their forests. But then you see how Buhari always come to the aid of the Fulanis. That's why I don't think most of the criminals are foreigners. The bororo Fulanis are very aggressive and they can only run if met with equal violence like it happened in Igangan Oyo State. The governors need to spell out what they want and back it up.
