The Italian team we defeated boasts at least 4 lads with Serie A Experience Tommaso Baldanzi (Empoli) Simone Pafundi (Udinese) Mattia Zanotti (Inter Milan) Daniele Montevago (Sampdoria) This was no ordinary triumph. The Naija lads sent out a strong message today. #MDU20WCDiaries 11 Likes 3 Shares

Akinsanmiro Ebenezer part of Inter Milan's Coppa Italia trophy presentation vs Fiorentina. Gets a medal too. Not only was he on the bench, he also joined the side in the trophy lifting ceremony (sight him behind #32, Federico Di marco). And I can confirm authoritatively that he also got a winners' medal. 9 Likes 2 Shares

Disrespect any Nigeria team at global stage at your peril! Only children born in 2000s disrespect Nigerian team. I am still not happy we missed Qatar. You would have seen footy! Even when we lost on international stage we give our all. Nigeria is a football powerhouse! Period! 3 Likes 1 Share |

TheSuperNerd: He was great but I didn't like his pouting and turning around when his teammate made a mistake in the box. Instead of chasing the ball he turned around and walked away. Hopefully that was a one time thing but if it isn't he will need to fix it. 5 Likes |

There's a lot of mutual respect between De Zerbi and Guardiola and it's just amazing to see. Guardiola hasn't just achieved personal success by winning numerous trophies and eventually turning the once feared English Premier League into a farmer's league by winning back-to-back-back titles(3 times in a row and 5 times in 6 seasons), but he has also impacted the lives and philosophies of so many coaches. Just look at what his students achieved this season alone: 1) Xavi surprised everyone and won the La Liga with Barcelona in just his first full season. 2) Kompany surprised everyone and won the championship thereby automatically qualifying Burnley to the Premier League. 3) We all have seen how Arteta transformed Arsenal into one of the best sides in the Premier League and almost won the title. And now we have De Zerbi who just admitted that he became a coach because of Guardiola and that he studies him a lot. We all can see what he's doing with Brighton. This just confirms that Guardiola is arguably the best coach of the modern era, not just for his tremendous personal success but for his impact on other coaches as well, especially the young ones. He'll be remembered for a long, long time to come. 1 Like |

With Brazil's 6 goal margin victory they will comfortably top the group if they beat us. And with Spain expected to beat Dominican republic,, all 3 teams can end up with 6 points making the situation dicey. I hope the eagles don't joke with the final group match against Brazil. Besides, this is a chance for a first victory against South American opposition at this level for nigeria. 1 Like |

Big congratulations to Ladan Bosso and his boys yesterday. I doubted their chances and even made fun of them but they shut me up well and proper. Still have reservations about how far they can go in this tournament but for today all they deserve is kudos. Daga and Eletu are really the truth! Fedrick was also outstanding. Kudos to Bamaiyi, Sunday, Agbakala, The goalkeeper, The number 9 and Emmanuel for putting in the shift. Saki the number 7 also impressed me. A bit excited as to what he can do with proper coaching. Unto the next one 2 Likes |

Don't mind them with all those nonsense hashtags and take the knee stuff that doesn't solve anything. If people are really sincere then let sponsors pull out and us the viewing public stop watching games on TV or attending matches. When it begins to hit their pockets trust me they will begin to fix up. daveP: 1 Like |
