My mother is furious that I don't want to come over to the UK.
This month my younger sister left for UK and it's remaining me.
Documents and all papers are right and after couple family intervention I decided to go for interview.
I really didn't want to go to Uk
I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home
I feel more connected to my father's land.
Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed.
My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.

I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May

honestly I don't want to move to Uk.
I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country.
Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back.
Did I do anything wrong?

The questions you Need to ask yourself are:

Do you earn enough income to be independent?

Can you do without asking your mum or anyone for assistance?

Are you sure you are okay with the quality of life you live in Nigeria?

How far have you gone in your career growth ?

You're not wrong oo. I went to that country and I'm back. Nothing sweet about UK. Except of course you're a struggling person. I'm doing quite well and I'll ever trade living in Nigeria for living in UK. They are practising modern slavery there. The weather, way of life, culture, etc is almost designed to give someone mental illness..

I will advise you go and spend 6 months there and compare it with Nigeria. Then, stick with whichever you think it's right.

You haven't done anything wrong but you are definitely joking with your future. You will never understand what Nigeria had deprived you until you travel out to the west.

You will realize that you have been praying for what good leadership will give you free of charge

It's not a new thing that Nl has been running social experiment posts for a while just to get the reaction of people. and garner outrage.

Freaking liar. Please disregard social experiment posts like this. I knew someone would do something based on the recent UK visa brouhaha.
It's a shame moderators would take this fake social experiment to the front page.

Do you have good job here? If you have a good career path, you might not need to go; but if you are jobless! Something might be wrong somewhere.
