clearcrystal: Don't you think there are some things that need to be done or put in place ? You just remove subsidy like that ? Oboi I am working and earning very well, but that doesn't mean I should be senseless in my reasoning...the private sector is the highest employer of labour, removing subsidy without planning will lead to lose of jobs as many companies will retrench workers due to higher cost of production, unemployment will be the result, hunger will follow, and when the masses finally say we can't take it anymore, you know what will follow. First I expect tinubu to create an enabling economy for the removal of subsidy, and not that reckless statement he made during his inauguration. 3 Likes |

All youth groups across the country need to begin mass mobilization for a show down with the Federal Government. We must have a repeat of Occupy Nigeria 2023 to give Tinubu a welcome notice that the era of treating Nigerians as if they don't matter is over. OccupyNigeriaNow! 1 Like |

Angelfrost: Government always keep talking with them on various issues. It might be under the cover. The labour leaders have to come out to stand with the masses. That their primary job. Their job is to shout and shout but government can still have their way. Our democracy is good. Its growing. |

Naijalarry: I think the NNPC are the one playing game here otj Nigerians. The President Bola Hamed Tinubu said there is no provision for subsidy in the 2023 budget which means the subsidy had been removed by the just past administration. We are in the month of May now and before the handing over to New president the fuel was selling at 200, #250. While did CEO of NNPC did not increased the price of fuel since there is no provision for it before.? Why was he Now saying they are in full support with Tinubu as of Tinubu was the one that removed subsidy? By increasing the fuel price is like adding to the pains of Nigerians . We know #500 even # 1000 per liter is nothing to the rich people but it would have negative impact of the small scale business ,marked commodities, transportation, etc. Subsidy is a trap for Tinubu and is like he had been falling into it . May God help him |

Tinubu should have started the austerity by announcing his money and property, latter tell us that is cabinet won't receive salary. You are so daft , you don’t know fuel controls the price and supply of almost all commodities, you don’t know subsidizing fuel is the only benefit an ordinary Nigerian will get from his/her corrupt Politicians that will still loot the money saved from not subsidize fuel . Labour union is avenue for the leadership to eat money. Here is white peoples country. A cook told me how the head of their association of cooks worked together with hotel and restaurants owners to short change the cooks. Their salaries were going down while the head of the association salary going up. The man stopped being member of the cook association. |

Oshin56: No strike before end of first week. Count on it. I have studied this extensively and any strike will not last 2 weeks - so called warning strike. Its a small price to pay for this weight that's been on Nigeria since 1982/3 |

Eecho: So we should continue borrowing and end up bankrupting this country for subsidy abi? When Zimbabwe type inflation comes our way, you will still say they didn't manage the economy well. Nigeria is more or less broke! Do you know what it means for interest payment on debt to be 96% of revenue!!? We are not paying principal o. Just interest. Can you run your personal life like that? 1 Like 1 Share |
