Hmmmmmm, well me will still prefer steady salary and be managing my resources small small than running around like headless chicken or moving traffic sorry moving Lagos up and down.
grin
I am not saying the job isn't good ooo, but when we compare the majority of drivers with most people earning even the 200k as salary the difference is clear.
I am telling that majority of those people earning 200k live better life than 90% of ehailing drivers, with 200k salary you a very big boy when compared to 90% of ehailing drivers.
Let me not go into details
grin

There are a lot of issues drivers battle with. Some of them out of desperation took unreasonable HP and rental offers. They have to work round the clock to meet up.

The problem with this is, the car may not be able to withstand the kind of stress they subject it to. Week after week it's one problem or the other.

Those who drive their own cars obviously will fare better. I personally don't think e-hailing is as bad as is sometimes being portrayed. I believe those who drive their own cars can live decently on earnings from it.(earnings before the recent price increase)

I think one can intermittently pad the trips with bolt when you are in surge area. It can't be entirely indrive
I do indrive majorly, trust me, I know my game.

My uber account is active, Bolt recently unblocked me but I'm not even looking at thier side

I drove round to some part of Lagos today...It seems the road is generally free, understandably so. ..If you, as a driver thinks you're making 5k in an hour now, I think you should just wait and let things settle down b4 you celebrate...All the people who are not driving now will eventually hit the road and the usually traffic begins....All in all, it is not looking good for everyone..Whatever increment the app guys will add can't be more than 35%.Bolt already did a coded email to drivers...The only winner in this na the ehailing coy.

You are very correct. Those who drive their own cars, and are prudent with spendings, make reasonable cash from e-hailing. You can never see them condemn driving. Bolt has to reduce their commission, slightly increase the fares for drivers to even up.

If 200k salary is offered to all ehailing drivers today, 99.9% will QUIT! I have been on both SIDE...The type of energy expended..No driver on rental or HP will stay, anyone that will stay would probably owned his car and have other sources of income....Do you see how driver looks or appear physically, when you order a ride, they appear drained, tired, sorrowful!! Anytime I open my app, a driver is looking for bat3 to jumpstart, another one needs wheel spanner. Even my bro that owned few cars on the platform, always looks tired and drained...I spoke to him recently to take things easy and he said for him it's not about just driving alone but do you know the amount of energy he uses to PURSUE his driver for delivery, one wahala after another. Don't let anyone drive you to your death!!!

I will jump on it if that 200k salary work isn't far from my resident and it's a Monday to Friday work (9am to 5pm)
If not, I can't sacrifice freedom of ehailing for the 200k job....

Ehailing might have its disadvantages but comparing 200k job to ehailing is a big slap on ehailing....

Don't mind them, even somebody collecting the 200k is fortunate in today's Nigeria.
How of them do we have around?

I dey tell you, that's just one of the advantages of ehailing.
The freedom it affords, and the fact that I can choose when to work.

For me e-hailing is a phase of life...I was sick of it and I know it's not meant for me..so all thanks to the motivation it gave me....

I just believe we should all just have an exit plan, some exit is involuntary and if not well prepared for can affect one deeply....

Thanks for the well wish .

Lol, there are things you don't learn in telegram groups.

If you work for a multinational company, banks will run after you with loans.

Some of those loans are in 8 digits. Imagine the possibilities

Also, I've been privileged to see the salary schedule of several companies here in Ph and I can tell you a lot of people earn way way more than 400k.

That's why I was wondering where the arrogance was coming from

If If.....

How many people work in Multinationals? Unemployment rate is about 40%. Buhari crippled the middle class - everyone is struggling to meet up.

Bro I remember we have discussed this here before, and my opinion was that taking a trip on Indriver/Rida shouldn't be placed solely on time to complete the trip. The distance to be covered has to be factored in too. For me it's even the first thing I consider then duration (time).

Before 488, it has always been 5k at least for 1hr with maximum distance of 30km. Early morning, you can do Sangotedo to Airport in 1hr, that's a 55km+ trip. Would you jump on that for 6k even at 185/ltr? Not to talk of now at 488/ltr.

My average price for VI from Sangotedo is 4200 if road is free, with traffic it's from 6k. Right now until I work with the new pump price, I can't say this is the ideal price in order not to run at loss.

I just got 15k worth of fuel this evening, I'll work with that tomorrow and see how far.
This is my second day of buying fuel. Same thing. Opinion no change. I changed work time. I now leave home 11-12pm get home 11-1am.

I can't lose.

Have done only 6hrs today. 6 to go

Odogwu wey dey cash out at #480/per litre. I am impressed, but I cant try this with my car at the moment. I would be working for Bolt, Mechanic and filling stations. Infact I will be doing charity driving for riders.

I glanced through the email from Bolt and I chuckle, just a play of words, if you believe Bolt will match fares commensurate to the rate of fuel increase, then you can believe anything ...

25% cut of the old price template will give them their desired KPI. So it's gets juicer for them,25% is all they need...

Congrats man! But why didn't you go to Canada through study visa if at all going through express entry is not possible? Pathway to PR through Canada study visa seems easier and clear.

That 720k for 2 months rent is far cheaper compared to Canada. Housing is not smiling over there.
