We just keep rubbishing our federalism.

Truth be told though, it is the southwest states that have rarely anything exclusive for its indigenes.

Growing up in the north those days, we paid school fees, etc as non-indigenes while our indigenous friends got all the favours.

May just be the way to go now.

Even till today in SE, non indigenes pay like 4x of what indigenes pay as school fees in their public schools.

Law wey no go carry water. You can't sell your land to someone else and still want to claim ownership. Hope the court will do the needful when you try any rubbish. What am seeing is people that want to shoot their own selves, this will make other states to target your own people.

Every land in Lagos is leasehold, the longest being 99 years after which ownership reverts to the State if they so wish. That tallies with the Land Use Act.

Only family land in villages can be freehold.

So if you but land or house for Dubai, na you get Dubai be that?

You no get Dubai, and I haven't seen any one person who owns Lagos even as it is a Yoruba State what exactly do you think Yorubas should enjoy in Lagos that other tribes shouldn't, just tell me that one thing.

Lagos is in Nigeria and uses Nigeria constitution I don't see where you are going with this. Dubai is a City in UAE and everyone from UAE have the same right as people from Dubai. Have you been to Dubai before? Indians have the highest number of new businesses there.

In fact, their diatribe and unruly behaviour is a blessing in disguise for the indigenous owners.

I said the same thing during the election, they happily rampaged all over Lagos, claiming that Lagos and Nigeria belong to them, something you'd never hear from Hausa, Ijaw and other ethnic groups in Lagos, I just knew it won't end well for them.

They asked for our attention and now they have it.

lol Oga there are laws state house of assembly cannot pass.It is for reasons like this that such a provision was made.

As long as you are a Nigerian, you have equal rights everywhere.Lagos is not the only state in the country housing non-indigenes BTW.and someone from Ogun state is not a lagos state indigene.

Whether someone from Ogun state is an indigene of Lagos or not is not for SEasterner to determine.

Sadly for them, Lagos or Yorubaland is not the only place on the surface of the earth where they display their backward, crude, abusive and anti-social ways, they display the same unruly, lawless and anti-social behavior all over the world, they embarrass Nigeria and give us bad name everywhere they go.

In Asian countries from Vietnam to Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and even India, they know them specifically as the main drug carriers from Nigeria.

I see communities all over the world specifically targeting them for reprisals.

You are a finished man. Better go hustle. I was waiting to hear you say you are an Asaba man. Good thing you said they're buying lands and not stealing them. Go and read what happened to old warri that was once a thriving city in the South. You just sit your lazy envious a.ss typing nonsense. Any city that doesn't accept visitors will never grow. Nothing in this life lasts forever, cities and empires has fallen before, if unfavorable laws are enacted in Lagos you'll start seeing people leave with their businesses that's it. Some of you hating for no reason have not said any terrible thing that Igbos are doing there, simply because they didn't vote APC.

Again you and probably your family members are the only urhobo people that have issues with Igbos cos I've come across many that are not into your bullsh*t
who be this one? For your info, we are wealthy and successful people on my FAM. Am not against igbos coming. If you know how to comprehend, am only saying they shouldn't call another tribes land their land or no mans land.for same reason that no non-Igbo tribe should go east and call it no man's land.envy my foot. Envy criminals as you do and are.

see the speaker head like opioro mango. urban lagos is migrant is a migrant city-state, no amount of translations to yoruba or egba or ijebu will change that fact. if u check well, that speaker is very likely from osun.

Whether someone from Oyo, Ondo, Ogun etc states is qualified to be an indigene of Lagos or not is not for an igboman to determine/decide.

I don't care where you're from or what happens to Bianca, that's you people's business. I'm Awori and Yoruba, and only Aworis, Ijebus, and other yoruba clans have the exclusive right to decide what happens in Lagos. It's the same way other indigenes of other states/regions decide the level of influence they give to outsiders to decide their fate. We are saying enough of ibo excesses. You people can never and will never be accorded the same status that other yorubas enjoy in Lagos or anywhere in yorubaland. Constitution or no constitution. If you're not happy about that you're free to relocate to ala Igbo.

What should an average Yoruba man enjoy in Lagos that other tribes shouldn't enjoy. Just say it. Envy no good sha 😅 answer me boss

You said yorubas...
Any yoruba can rule in any of the yoruba land and that tells you that we love ourselves.

Nah Igbo man wahala go kill all this yoruba Muslims Nah jealousy go kill Una....

You said igbo don't sale land to strangerss guy Una too dey carry our matter for head.. Una too too dey lie..

Una say igbos Don sale land to Hausa but to be honest, Hausas and Fulanis can't afford buying of our lands. They mostly work as securities, and they sleep in he mosque🕌 or in there working place.

As for the minorities Yorubas dey don't travel around at all there noiseses ends in Lagos is Yoruba land., Yorubas don't travel at all they are always scared in living in another man's land and most there people can't afford our lands bcoz they don't have a good business here. Some of them are tailors, Herb's salers. In my side Is only one Yoruba man build house and he is a doctor.

So saying igbos don't sale land is a blatant lies just to paint🎨 igbos black ⚫.

when dangote, an hausa man, has bought half of lekki and igbos have bought the rest of the urban part of lekki. lekki real indigenes have no lands to sell anymore.

That's what they are trying to tell you that the land u bought in Lekki still belongs to the indigenous owners. You're only given a certificate of occupancy that lasts for 24yrs. The land is not transferable as inheritance to any beneficiary and u cannot resell it without the approval of the Lagos State Governor, the custodian on behalf of the indigenous land owners.

Funny enough, all those supporting this myopic clamoring are those APC Yorubas from osun,EKITI,Ogun and Oyo .

They are ashamed of their ancestral home that they have to go around claiming another man's ancestral home as theirs ,simply because they are all Yorubas.

You will never see a Kano man claiming that he's an indegene of Kaduna state, nor are you going to see an Enugu man claiming he's an indegene of Anambra state.
And again, there are many Yorubas that appreciate their ancestral home even though they stay in Lagos, but you see those APC Yorubas and APC Yoruba thugs ?
.they are all ashamed of their ancestral homes that they have to go around claiming they are indegene of Lagos state.

First, I support your comment which says there are some Yorubas in Lagos who are proud of their heritage and won't carry Lagos on their head like APC thugs in Lagos.

But in other view, I want you to get this right, the emotional support from the Yorubas
enjoyed by Lagos indigenes goes beyond I reside in Lagos or I do not reside Lagos, the Yorubas in and outside Lagos go against the stupid talk of "Lagos is no man's land".... no sensible Yoruba will endorse that.

It's not about staying in Lagos , it doesn't matter where such Yoruba person lives .... blood is thicker than water.

If I make a mere statement even here in Lagos and say Onitsha is no man's land , will the nsukka man sitting close to me not be upset?

The nsukka man doesn't have to live in onitsha to say what is sensible.

It's not about Yoruba living in Lagos, this is a Yoruba issue which all sensible Yoruba should defend.

Lagos indigenes nice , I will always like people to be fair to one another, and respect each other, even if it's the matter of indigenes in any state or any part of the world...but in defacto other Yoruba are going to be absorbed , atleast Ogun and Lagos still have a lot of ethnic groups in common, Egun , ijebus, aworis.....and other yorubas can easily blend and don't forget the statement from the speaker " they say Lagos is no man's land, Lagos belongs to Yoruba" , so other Yorubas are considered de facto.

If I say onitsha belongs to yoruba , even a man from umahia or owerri will be angry with me.

So leave the brothers alone for now , if it's your turn , they will call you ( outsiders).
My turn? Hahahaha I've never liked Lagos for anything. I'm Benin and proud of my heritage. If you mention Vancouver which I'm working towards being a citizen I'll beg you with all my heart

not a totally bad point in my opinion. most people who migrate without good jobs usually turn pest to their host, no contribution to development, no building, insultive, stalking and stalling, begging is in their dna, cause economic hardship and would reffuse to move back home.

Thankfully, the court will recognise you contravening the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

So, the constitution of FGN empowers you to disrespect and insult your host community?

The constitution doesn't force you to live anywhere you cannot respect their traditions and abide by their rules and regulations.

Lengthy Post

And how many Igbos have called your place in warri a no man's land. And let me give you a little education, Lagos was first called No Man's Land by Lateef Jakande in his acceptance speech as Lagos governor. No Man's Land as he called it does not mean the land have no owners it means everyone is welcomed to succeed.

Lagos have Yoruba traditional rulers and Yoruba traditional practices that no one interferes with. I've lived in Lagos before and during the Oro festival everyone obeys it. It is only Yoruba people in Lagos that do Omonile and if you purchase any land in Lagos you'll settle them before you build anything, have you seen an Igbo man in Lagos doing Omonile. Is their any Igbo tradition that is generally practiced in Lagos? I hate when things are politicized, all these are coming because APC hate the fact that majority Igbos in Lagos does not for vote them and they don't want any opposition in the State.

During my stay at Idumota there are people who collect money from us and they're yorubas everyone complies with them. Igbos obeys every Yoruba directives in Lagos, there's Iya oloja in Lagos and she's a Yoruba woman every Igbo market woman pays tribute to her whenever the need arises so why haven't they said no because Lagos belongs to no one.

So tell me how Igbos are taking over Lagos?? Or how they are destroying Lagos??

As for your last sentence, their are criminals in every tribe and region. Not every Igbo man is a criminal, Lawrence Anini is not an Igbo man neither is Oyenusi or Shina Rambo an Igbo man and at the same time not every urhobo man is innocent. I have urhobo people all around me infact we are like family.
