I just received a notification from world remit I can now send money to Nigeria and the receiver can be paid in Naira directly to their bank account…. They stopped sending Naira to Nigeria since like 2020 and we had to use third party apps.

Emefiele and Buhari fvcked up that country in many ways people don’t understand….

You still did not answer the question.

Do you, larride personally believe that rivers state which INEC awarded and declared for tinubu was won by tinubu?

No. Almost everyone here agreed Wike rigged the result.

Anyone else?

Alot of things will be reset.

We in Nigeria cant even use our cards for any international transactions. Emefiele first put a limit of $20 a month and then blocked it totally except you get a dollar card.

It can never be well with Emefiele.

We are watching but the President is already making some smart choices which are commendable.

Hopefully he handles the area of security well and reverse some poverty policies of the previous administration.

Phew.... its a bad policy. Where are jobs after graduation? Our tertiary education ain't subsidised....to to to to.

These folks seem to have given up on better Nigeria. In their silly, hopeless minds, Nigeria won't be great again.

How on earth a sensible person would be envisaging failure for himself or relatives after 4yrs in school?

You are predicting joblessness after graduation cos in your myopic mind, Nigeria won't ever prosper....? SMHV.

Attached is school fees of a kindagarten pupil, yet our tertiary Institutions ain't subsidised.

Some people think living on negativity is how you constitute an opposition. Gonna be a long 8 years.

That's Emefieles wahala. All agents stopped using black market rate about 3 or 4 years ago. That's when I switched to a WhatsApp agent. Later I discovered Ohentpay which does the job seamlessly at black market rate

Strongly advise against the bolded for any incoming CBN Governor. Dont think Nigeria has the capacity/supply to fund dollar expenses/demand.

A managed float is what I would recommend

Nigerians don't do enough research. I like this write up.

Putting clock front of you cooking for hours is not how records are broken.

GWC has set out standards, procedures, they have rules which a contestant must follow. Please remind me if ekiti girl has done that.

See how this ekiti girl is disgracing herself just to compete with Hilda. To her, if she gets to 120hr she has broken Hildas records.?

There are over 40records that could be broken in cooking in GWC but ekiti girl did not see it, her problem is to beat Hilda's time.

Mindset of poverty.

Even Obi is not bad in that aspect. It's the lawyers I actually don't like in Government

In my experience, I am yet to meet a good accountant who won't be a good public administrator, unless his MO is just to steal. I have seen corporate execs expound for hours on problems with organisations performance and miss the boat, something a junior accountant could have told them in minutes.

It is a purely Nigerian thing. And it happens all the time. It is a real time view into how standards are bastardized in this country. The pioneers will start something and put all standards in place and charge a premium. From there you start getting different copycats who do not understand or have any concern about following the principles but are all about the money.

Everything he is doing so far looks like someone who looks at budget and P&L and understands it, and let the numbers dictate his policy..

The problem in Nigeria is that we copy policies from other countries and want to replicate them in our country without considering the situation here. Where are the jobs in Nigeria? There are graduates from over 20 years ago who are still jobless. Now the thing about this scheme is that as you repay, another person gets access to the loan.

“Now that the scheme will provide N1m per year, suppose a student comes to FUTMinna and stays for five years. That means you will receive N5m; what is the guarantee that you will get a job to pay it back? As of today, the minimum wage is N30,000. Is it feasible?

“From the beginning, ASUU fought against it because of these issues. There are no two ways about it; this scheme is not going to be sustainable. You can see universities hiking fees, more universities will do this because governing councils of schools are looking for ways to fund schools; before you know it, the level of enrolment in public universities will be reduced.”

There is a new wave. The wave in objs time was GSM. The wave today is alternative / renewable energy. Position yourself and you will hammer. Or you can sit in a corner whining and wailing. A lot of people are positioning themselves to produce and charge EVs. I worked on Greenville projects as far back as 2015. They have a network of cng stations a cross Nigeria awaiting deployment.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 6:25am On Jun 13, 2023
The student loan move is an applaudable move from the Tinubu’s administration , it’s just that I have a few reservations about its workability and it serving the purpose it was designed for .

I heard it was Gbajabiamala that sponsored the bill. Personally I believe Gbaja is in discordant tunes with the current economic realities . For example , that 500k per annum family income cieling set by the bill is not good enough . 500k per annum when divided by 12 is less than 42k per month . If u say earning 42k or lesser per month as a family is what qualifies a family member for the loan, what happens to a family of 5 that earns 85k per month , pays house rent , utility bills and have next to nothing to save at the end of the month ? Cant their son or daughter benefit from the loan too ?

I think our elected officials need to know about Time Value of money so they can put it into cognisance when sponsoring bills .

Also I would like for government to provide grace for people who don’t get jobs within 2 years of graduation about how to pay back their loans when they eventually get jobs or go into self employment . We all know getting jobs as a fresh graduate nowadays is very tedious . I remember a friend in school who was on 2.1 but a lecturer he had issue with scored him E in a course he should have scored at least B grade . He finshed with 2.2 and it cost him 3 good years before he got a graduate trainee role cos of the grade requirements . So people like that who have loans to pay back to the system can take time to hustle without having their names called out like Palmpay does their debtors .

If all these issues are addressed ……I’m all in for the student loan bill . Make government just make sure people pay back the loan before they japa . Nobody should have a student loan outstanding in Nigeria and have their visas abroad approved.
