Hi guys, Is it normal for an employer to make someone work 21 days straight and giving you one day to rest ? In the contract it states 40 hours for the said person. But the employer is the one saying you'll be able to get off day at least after two weeks. How can someone navigate around this ? |

Efep: Well, people I know in similar positions apply to other coys and work with them full time Issue is that it may have impact on your renewals in the future if you work more than 20 hrs with other. coys (think it is now in effect) |

Efep: You need to have a candid conversation with your employer. A one-on-one heart -to-heart. I don't want to assume anything but this would only be possible if there was some 'K-Leg' in the 'parole' of your employment (which you yourself may or may not be aware of). Tell your employer how you need shifts not just for the fun but because you have bills to pay. A reasonable employer may have friends on similar agencies and may be happy to recommend and signpost you to others so that you can be earning some Β£ before they are able to give you shifts. My suggestion is that before you take any advice or recommendation from a faceless forum, make sure you have had a conversation with your employer and exhausted all possibilities first. 2 Likes |

mizGene:Bristol and hills. And local man body don too stiff. If I ride small, I go roll am small. It was really stressful. 30 minutes ride took me 1hour plus. At a point, I was looking for where to even keep it and enter bus to my house. π 15 Likes |

gmacnoms: Not easy. You have to also learn how to use the gears and frictions shifters if it's a good mountain bike. When you master it, you can drop the gear and friction so low that you can cycle up a hill with little stress. Your muscle, especially the calves, thighs and glutes, will also need to get used to the work. 1 Like |

For the heat, you can have optimise your windows somehow: Reduce the sun, but increase the airflow. Some people just let the sun fry their rooms but that makes it too hot. Unless the sun is down at noght or something, you may not need to open your curtains so much. |
