Hi all. I need your inputs. My husband applied for sowp with me. He used his old passport which will expire in Dec. He got a new passport before ppr and submitted both the old and new passports when the request came. His new passport was stamped. But both the passport and letter of introduction states his visa is valid till Dec 2023 while mine is valid till Sept 2025.

Please, how can this be resolved in short time?

Please i need your help.
My spouse applied for SOWP Oct 29th 2022 and biometrics was done and uploaded November 4th 2022. He got refused March 6th 2023 with the following reasons: (please check image) i didnt upload my enrollment student letter or bank statements(my big mistake)
We decided to wait as my study permit expires July 31 2023 and i applied for extension since Jan 6th 2023.(in hopes i received an extension early as i know the SOWP is dependant on my study permit)
However we are thinking of reapplying again before july 31st for another SOWP or a visitor visa
My mum will also be a sponsor to show POF

We are hoping to apply with my current study permit and the letter i received stating that my study permit extension is still in process. My visitor visa is not expiring till December 2024

Please can you advise as i may be on implied status soon.

Application transferred letter for sowp+sp June 8

Approved Pqwp on June 10

While sowp+study permits for my 2kids application transferred to local office Nairobi.

Please how long will it take Nairobi for ppr

If they have changed the requirement for SOWP by providing transcript and enrollment letter, that means those applying with their spouse won't be eligible

Since you are already in SP status, let him reapply now. Please, try and get all documents required to support his application this time around. Do not miss out on compulsory document(s).

My advice here is that, if you follow the thread from Page 1 - 323, you will see all the resources required for you to have a successful application, but many are either lazy to read through or busy. Whatever, the situation that best describes you, please, ensure you submit the right documentations. If you can't do it, you can ask someone to help you do it.

Hello everyone. I applied for a work permit in January for my family of 4. Thankfully, we got approved May 10 and have since collected our passports back from VFS. The thing is that one of my kids didn’t get his own passport request and we’re still waiting. They said they’re still processing and will make a final decision. Any one know how long that usually takes. My wife and I got jobs and have to resume soon. We’ve raised several webforms to no avail

Give them 10 days and send a web form. It usually do not take time, but my guess is that they have returned to being slow again. Maybe, they have a lot of SP application and attention or priority needs to be given to them first before sowp.

It says he does not have enough documents to support the application, the wife has most of the documents needed for the application, the husband is just a dependant.
This is what is giving us worry since he’s a dependant.

This is near impossible. They are many things that you need to put in place to get a job here in Canada. Start checking by getting ready to apply immediately you drop land.

alternatively, you can source for companies that do LMIA for employees. I don't have idea on that anyway.
