From this writing by Bolaji Aluko, It seems this case has been taken to the Supreme court in 2001

http://www.dawodu.com/aluko18.htm

The thing is the Sections 28, 177, 182 that we have been quoting here are from the 1999 Constitution not the Electoral Act of 2001.

If Section 28 is accepted as applying to Non-birth citizens then Section 182 is not necessary since Section 177 already states that only birth-citizens can be governor.

It is either the lawyers who framed constitution are incompetent or they are running a scam for us to keep having court cases so they can feed their family in perpetuity.

Not sure where this will go as people have been writing Chicago state university for years asking is bola ahmed Tinubu studied there.

This apparent letter clearly refers to bola Tinubu as he.

When I was in university we had a three guys named ganiyu adebayo in my class. All with the initials GAA. I'm sure if this alleged female bola Tinubu exists - it is something along the same line.

At the barest minimum inspector hundeyin should have been able to track her down.

Here is the Tonye Cole case

Nov 2022
A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has again disqualified the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Mr. Tonye Cole, over alleged dual citizenship and non-compliance with the Electoral Act by his party.

But APC counsel Collins Dike expressed displeasure that the same court, which disagreed with APC and held that no court had right to interfere in another party’s affairs on a section of the constitution being used, turned around to say otherwise. Dike revealed that APC would challenge the judgement at the Court of Appeal with assurance that a higher court would do justice in the matter.

“For us, the position of the law is very clear, the constitution is very clear. We are confident that the appealing court will do justice in this matter. It will give a proper interpretation of the constitution.

Some of you were in the court and, probably, heard the court read the relevant provisions of the constitution. Our constitution is very clear that where a person is a citizen of Nigeria by birth and goes on to acquire the citizenship of any other country or pledges allegiance to any other country, he is qualified to contest elections.

“Tonye Cole acquired a citizenship of the United Kingdom, he stated so in his forms before INEC but it is also clear that he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth. So, the court read that very clearly from the constitution and proceeded to disqualify him, contrary to the provisions of the constitution.

“We are proceeding on appeal immediately, we are only waiting to get the judgement as soon as possible so that we study it.”

https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2022/11/25/court-disqualifies-tonye-cole-over-dual-citizenship

Jan 2023
An Appeal Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has struck out a suit by the Peoples Democratic Party against the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Tonye Cole, and the Independent National Electoral Commission over non-compliance to the Electoral Act.

The Appeal Court also set outside the judgment of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt over the alleged dual citizenship of Tonye Cole.

The three-man panel of appeal in a unanimous judgment said the PDP lacked the locus standi to challenge APC, its governorship candidate, and the INEC on the conduct of the congresses and primary election that brought in the candidate.

On the issue of dual citizenship, the appeal court in the judgment delivered by Justice Olabode Adegbehingbe on behalf of the lead Judge, Justice Joseph Ikyegh said the PDP lacked the legal right to drag INEC to court in a pre-election matter.

Justice Adegbehingbe further said the Supreme Court’s decision on the issue of citizenship on electoral matters was final

Well, let's see how the courts will decide the case since they already admitted Certified True Copies of the Statement of results, B.Sc Certificate and NYSC discharge Certificate of the Bola Adekunle Tinubu as evidence.

I'm very much interested in how the whole educational background controversy will pan out in court.

I remember Reno went to the school before the Elections to confirm it and he did actually confirm Tinubu is an Alumni of the Institution.

There’s nothing bad in admitting he was wrong and taking down whatever post he has made based the inaccurate data/news reportage .

Festus Keyamo who is Senior Advicate of Nigeria was congratulating Binani on her illegal victory ; he even described it glowingly as a glass-shattering watershed for Nigerian women…... I’m not sure I saw his tweet apologizing to the governor and admitting he was misled .

Chibuike Ugwuoke, a cyber security expert, on Wednesday, presented metadata which he claimed to have extracted from the INEC result viewing portal (IReV).

Under cross-examination on Thursday by Abubakar Mahmoud, INEC’s lawyer, Ugwuoke said the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) Act stipulates that all technologies used by INEC must adhere to the ISO 27001 2013 standard.

However, Emmanuel Edet, another LP witness who is the head of legal services at NITDA, said such requirements do not exist under the NITDA Act.

“The NITDA Act does not contain any cyber security standard code – ISO 27001 2013,” Edet said.

The witness also said no provision in the act makes reference to INEC.
Hmmm, all these agbado infested news reporters will just be capping rubbish. Thank God I am knowledgeable and will not be deceived.

The first witness said ISO 27001:2013 just as any other standards is a requirement for public institutions according to the NITDA act for protection of information.

The second witness said the act does not demand ISO 27001:2013 to cover cyber security.

So both witnesses are correct because the two questions are completely different. The NITDA act covers protection of information but not cyber security.

The thing is INEC deleted information on the BVAS for Abuja without storing it. That's the first witness.

For the second witness, recall that it was NITDA that informed Pantami that INEC servers were under attack. Who should protect the servers?

Ans: AWS, unless INEC deliberately attacked their own server. Something that AWS knows.

Make una dey play.

This is my point. The oga at the top in a serious business, one who rose there with acumen and grit, will grill you to be sure the data you are providing, which will drive business decisions, is accurate. In fact at that level, you can automatically filter bs.

That is my issue. If the guy was a politician, or a head of a govt parastatal, I would say well, this is one of those dumb easily deceived olodos who is incapable of critical thinking.

But based on his pedigree and access to information, I would say he knew what he was doing, which using his platform to sow discord.

Anybody can be a victim of fake news . The Dangote importation story is very easy to believe ; the person in question is not even based in Nigeria.
He relied on a story published by a national daily newspaper . How else do u want him to get data ?

He didn’t sow any discord but relied on a data that turned out to be false and he has apologized for that. That’s what honorable people do

See my response to Glorious ; it’s a good thing he apologized for being wrong and I don’t think he should be vilified for that .

Hey guys, after my DStv ordeal... So I escalated the case and tagged appropriate quarters including DStv south Africa, DStv Nigeria, kuda bank and escalation@kuda. Com

So after every back and forth, my money has been reversed.. 😁

But something wierd happened.. I was sent a phishing link on my email and the caption was "failled DStv payment" I deleted it.. the link contained some malicious files that my Google defender kept flagging as malicious.. even when I wanted to open the file out of curiosity (I knew it was a phishing link).. my Google email kept warning me..

I suspect this to be an inside job.. the person used some amason email or something of some sort..

Long story short.. my money has been reversed cool

Thanks to you guys shaa that helped ginger me to escalate the case
