durodee: there is an amazon tv stick and a roku tv stick. also a redmi mi tv. if you really really want to spend, then the nvidia shield there are a lot of chinese android tv boxes, but i personally will not recommend them. they have a lot in common with all those tecno phones. i bought one a few years ago was was completely underwhelmed by it polystar tv na chinko tv. with the QA issues. if you live alone, you may be fine. but if you have small pikin, that tv will spoil fast. i have an lg and it survived my pikins attempts to fk with it when he was three years old. my guy got a polystar some years back, his kid threw something on it, and instant line and crack if cash is an issue, you can grit your teeth and go for a hisesne [buy from CONFIRMED fouani] or follow gazzuz on his clearance thread and wait for him to flog an LG tv. also as per movies most tvs already have A usb port . though if your tv is not smart, it will not be able to play x265 /hevc encoded videos you can literally just connect your laptop or pc to the tv hdmi port and watch your movie or stream your match like that different ways to skin a cat. 1 Like |

GloriousGbola: First time I bought a Smart TV I was worried about the high price tags and the fact that TVs made for Africa/Nigerian market tend to be low quality so I got a used unit that was as good as new from Graceglory. The guy is good. He sells high quality stuff Highly recommend him for those who may not want to splurge and buy brand new. His and brand new are virtually indistinguisable. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

mctfopt:I guess you've two 14.3kwh LFP battery banks connected in parallel otherwise 8kw pv maybe too much for a single 14.3kwh battery bank especially as you stated that the loads are not much. I admire your zeal...... 20 pcs of 400w jinko pv is real cash. If I'm not deceived by memory, there was a time you wanted to sell you quanta batteries and replace them with coupled lithium batteries. Would you mind giving us the details of your system.. 1 Like |

GloriousGbola: There is a reason why I said the first time I ever got a smart TV. I bought 8 brand new smart TVs last year from Mitosshoppers. Does not hurt to look for bargains though. And some on this thread might be at the stage where they would rather buy good but used and not new. 2 Likes |

isangjohnson: I gave out my lead acid batteries. Bought EVE from China when there was no vendor, not that I know of, selling it here. Actually bought 32 nos of 3.2v 280AH EVE cells. Decided to use 16 and kept 16. Later sold the 16, should've kept it. Lol. I like to oversize my solar panels so that I don't use batteries during the day. I use growatt. |

mctfopt: The way things are going in Nigeria if you decide to buy something. Just buy it and forget. Otherwise you will live to regret. Thanks for sharing your experience. So all these panels are connected to one MPPT SCC? |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 8:16pm On Jun 26, 2023 |
FEGEITOK: I have two growatt connected in parallel. The panels are shared between the two. I know I'm almost maxing out the max PV of 450v, but the wattage is still 4kw for each when it can do up to 6kw. I'm thinking of adding one more and running it as a three phase system and upgrading the battery. |

If you are outside Lagos and want to buy solar panels, please verify that an authorized reseller in your location does not have it in stock before ordering outside of your station and paying for logistics. I did not do this the first time I bought my Jinko solar panels and 1. I suffered some delays and 2. I spent a tidy sum on logistics You might discover that you could buy it at the same price in your station as it is sold in Lagos but you would have saved yourself the cost of logistics. I just did as I intend to increase the number of panels I have installed in response to proposed electricity tarriff hike and found out it I could buy at Lagos prices in Abuja and not have to pay for transportation and wait for them to be delivered. And you know anything can happen along the way and you would be faced with dealing with that. Of course if the price is a steal even after accounting for logistics and the product is legit then by all means you can buy from Lagos 2 Likes |

Valto: Thank you for your response. ACs will be used during the day when there is enough sun light 1 AC can be used at night for not more than 3 hours and won't run everyday. When you say 9kw of panels, how many panels and the capacity, I don't have full knowledge of this Do you mean I will get 2 units of 48v 230ah lifepo4 battery |
