Not surprised, subsidy on electricity is gone too.

Now it's free market capitalism that punish the lazy and idle more severely.
It will soon reach the politicians who live on a fake life of free money.

All their accounts are now flagged on surveillance by CBN, NFIU and EFCC. Social media addiction that kills productivity and fuel wastage of scarce resources can now go down too. Nigeria is on the forward March with Asiwaju Tinubu.

Why does Nigeria government take pleasure in taking away the few things that the masses enjoys despite the billions they make from taxes.

Nigerians doesn't enjoy anything as citizens of Nigeria, the only subsidy they enjoy has been removed.

The government can fix all the refineries without removing fuel subsidy.

Nigerians needs to stand on their feet and engage the government headlong on its anti people policies bent
to further improvised the masses.

One agbado douchebag on second page was arguing that price for petrol is higher in the US. So I ask these fools to compare their meager #30,000 minimum wage to $1160 American minimum wage. If converted to naira that's around #878,688.40, almost close to a million.

Someone who earns that much wouldn't flinch to pay #1000 per liter of petrol. But how can one afford to pay #500 per liter when he earns #30k?

Those hailing Tinubu today are condemning the Buhari they once hailed. But if you ask me, Buhari is the lesser evil. Their hypocrisy stinks to the lowest hell!

Which is why the effort of Nigerians via NLC and TUC should be on increased minimum wage and less govt wastge (also bear in mind that less govt wastage also includes reduced staff, cos majority of people in govt are doing very little).

But the idea of pricing thing below their cost and govt making up the balance, which ends up creating a rent seeking economy, that I DO NOT SUPPORT!

It's not a secret. When Jonathan government auctioned the discos off, his consortium bought it.
And almost all the discos was bought by the politicians from the region where they were domiciled.
It wasn't only Tinubu .

Leave the epistle!
Go and study the conditions attached to the sale of NEPA by Jonathan govt.
The only thing the government can do is to open up the sector by allowing state govt or individuals to set up their electricity companies and Federal government has done that

Nonsense! NEPA/ DISCOS Conditions destroy you there!
We are talking about a shift in a System that is very Corrupt, here you just come and divert attention and it seems,You have problems of Compression of comparative analysis!
-Which individuals in Nigeria can comfortably have Capitals to start a Power Plants? That is why we suggest Energy Bank-- like the Chinese.
-Here,we are talking of something Serious, affecting virtually our Industrial Growth, Youths Unemployment, Production System that are bleeding through Generators and buying of Diesel, etc and you are talking,as if Power is like producing biscuits!
I believed you are just one of those benefiting from Darkness over Nigeria,a Disco footsoldiers and not ready to get this Country started on a good note!
-No Conditions attached to those Contract that cannot be changed! If Govt changed the conditions and the same set of People buys it,they would not deliver!
-No Conditions with Discos that says we should not have 24/7 Lights! Ghana is a good example of Power Breakthroughs!
The same conditions that made Russia to kill Ajaokuta -Steel till date- the Condition that made Russian to write the Operations of those Steel in their Language that Nigeria don't understand!
-No Conditions in DISCOS agreement that says - a Company can abitrarily increase Tariffs, without first increasing your Services to the Masses and it's only Mumu people, that loves what the DISCOS is given them because they are agent of Darkness!
This same argument was once proposed by Fashola then but was debunked?
Please, present your alternative means to Discos debacles,as Nigerians are sick and tired of Discos ---•-that we don't know who is bringing Light,
•-when they are bringing it,
•-who is distributing Pre-paid Metres,
•-who is sending Unverified Bills to our Phones!
-In abroad, even to take light in say- 3-months time, they would have been informing you every now and then and the light is off for a very short period.
*Anyway, the advice is to President Tinubu, not crawlers, who is confused because they are benefiting directly or indirectly from making Nigerians to suffer every day.
Very Shameful Situations, Indeed.

Tinubu just signed the 2023 electricity bill into law which empowers the states and state governors to be in control of electricity light in nigeria and also to give license to private investors and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity light .so let the state governors implement and work on this 2023 electricity billl immediately so that they can be constant electricity light in nigeria which will avoid all this estimated bill, high tarrifs and lack of power supply

Arrant rubbish, do we use electricity in dollars or do we pay electricity bills in dollars?

Nigerians are just fantastically corrupt, how does the change in dollar rate affect electricity tariffs to be increased to such huge amount per kWh.

Criminals all over Nigeria, a time will when the federal will invest in the power sectior and take back from the private operators, that's the only out of this shit.

Useless organisation. What about the increase you have been doing secretly for ages?
You secretly increased the same tariff by 9naira about 2 months ago....what was the reason?
In year 2022, you secretly increased the tariff like 3 or 4 times.....what was the reason.
What many don't know is that you have been consistently and secretly increasing the tariff almost every 3 months for years.
The activities of this PHCN/DISCOS need to be duly investigated/audited. They have been exploiting the innocent citizens for ages.
