Please is one expected to only print and fill the portion of the consent form meant for passport submission? And can one fill with pen instead of typing on the space meant for name?

Hello Friends I just realised that with this VFS new passport submission date (20th July is earliest appointment date in vfs Lagos) , I would exceed the 30 day limit given by IRCC. For those who have used the courier option. Did you collect your passport in person @ VFS or was it sent back to you by DHL? Thanks |

Classicswagz:Please a response will be highly appreciated for additional context I have been to Canada twice in the past and each time I spent more than 4 months but this time around an agent was saying something about extra scrutiny from immigration which lead me to ask here if I’m safe to book my normal 5 months ? |

We sent 2 mails and filled the webform twice but got only an auto response from the mail sent and a response to the webform mail acknowledging receipt of mail. We received our passport request today. I say a big thank you to everyone for their help. The ealiest available date for submission of passport at VFS is on the 19th of July but we will be travelling on the 12th. Is it possible to submit our passport in the US for the canada stamping? What are our options? We have sent them an email asking if we could submit it in the US. growersfarm: 2 Likes |

Classicswagz: "If you have previously spent extended periods in Canada, it's possible you may face extra scrutiny from immigration. Ultimately, the decision to book your desired 5-month stay is yours, but being prepared can improve your chances of a successful entry, especially when answering questions about why you are spending such a long period away from your home country. you have no job or family?. Or which work gives you 5 months holiday..Visitors staying more than 3 months on holiday are likely to raise suspicions 1 Like |

Finally gotten my passport from VFS Lagos office today submitted last week Friday. I was giving number 336 when I arrived around 1:30pm and there are many people waiting for passport collection at the back of the VFS office, if you are going for passport collection please be there as early as possible. Lagos VFS office is now faster than before and l think no need to send your passport to Abuja anymore my one cent advise. 1 Like |

Good evening house, Please I need your help. Me and my wife applied for Canada visiting visa in December 2021, did the biometric same month, got BVL in May 2023 and PPR in June 12th 2023, thankfully. At the time we applied it was just the two of us, but we have a baby now. Please, how should we go about applying for the 9 months old baby? An agent is charging us N400k to get the baby's visa but I felt it's too much. Please advice me on what best to do. Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Thank you |

Classicswagz: Although they didn't ask me many questions when I entered Canada on Monday, they did inquire about how long I would be staying and where in Canada. Even if you intend to stay for 5 months, I don't think it's appropriate to let them know that at the port of entry, especially if you stated in your application that you are employed, because a 5-month annual leave will be strange to anyone. Your best option is to buy a flexible plane ticket. Flexible flight tickets are those that allow passengers to change the travel dates as they wish or cancel the ticket for refunds. They are expensive than regular ticket. I don’t know if open ticket is still available. You can talk to a travel agent to see if you can get one. This is just my personal opinion, I might be wrong. 2 Likes |

Hadassahzoe: This is easy since you and your wife already have visas. You can apply for the baby by yourself. State that you guys want to take the baby with you. Include a copy of your visa, that of your wife and the baby’s documents. You can come here to ask questions if you get stuck. |
