The OP is right.

We Nigerians tend to over-do things. Hilda Baci used 5years to plan and prepare for her shot at breaking that record. And while she was at it, her sheer tenacity and commitment was what attracted the world to her effort and earned her the support she garnered. Then out of sheer envy and blatant stupidity, rogue elements wake up in the space of one month and want to replicate the same effort all in a bid to equally curry the spotlight.

There are thousands of records yet to be upended in that GBR, but no. Nigerians just want to undo the efforts of their own country person, so they can rather be recognised. This is not a case of "the sky being big enough for all to fly". This is basically the "pull him down" syndrome that we're synonymous with.

There's a reason Nigerians abroad avoid other Nigerians over there like the Egyptian plagues. Our in-house competition is too toxic to engender any form of growth or progress.

Nigerians are clowns. Copy Copy too much. No wonder there's so much hatred, jealousy & envy. The citizens lack personal motivation & innovation. They'll rather focus on sex, breast, nyash & vagina & useless Nollywood movies that lack substance, rather than the brain of the persons. Any small thing, they'll shout God & go to churches that will never make their minds open, innovative or progressive. Left to some men, Hilda should just be an olosho rather than breaking Guinness records. Las Las , I'm glad she did what she did, thereby setting the example of how a modern woman should be innovative, hard working & not just a sex object.

Those people attempting to break her records are not really doing it for the sake of the record.

Honestly it's quite annoying seeing how this trend is moving in this country. How does one just wake up and decide to break records of professionals? This thing is now a joke lol. I don't know hilda personally but what i know is she planned, strategized and made sure everything is in place for her to break the record she just broke. Then came chef dammy no training, no planning, no strategy but went on to try breaking a record she knew nothing about?

It's quite hilarious seeing everything unfold before my eyes lol. This is one problem i have with our people, we are not innovative enough. There are so many ideas to be implemented but no emeka sells shoes and he's successful ok make i go dey sell shoes too, or funke bakes bread and she's doing quite well make i go dey bake bread too. Then at that point you're there struggling with that person with the same targeted audience, isn't it hilarious?

We really need to do better honestly or maybe it's this generation of Nigerians that are just not thinking properly, i mean see this ondo girl she slept off while trying to break the hilda's record . That's what happens when you jump into something with no idea of or the other lady that slumped while doing massage it is well. This trend isn't stopping anytime soon so more failed attemps to come.

Records are meant to be broken and it is not a crime to attempt to break a record.

She said it.. she registered for fitness classes did lots of research bought equipments and put all necessary equipment in place before she began. Most of this idiots(because that's what they inevitably are) attempting this record breaking of a thing think she started in January

they dont take the time to research, plan, invest, and excute. grin
