Some lessons learnt
* I was trying to use Form A to process my tuition deposit when I was running against time, I rushed to use BM at last minute but couldn't meet up the session admission. Pls do what you have to do on time and dont delay.
* Do your TB test when you are sure you will get CAS, or have gotten CAS
* While Building your POF, have some backup account that can be presented just in case
* Someone was advising me to wait for 29 days maturity of POF before applying, Ideally its not necessary, UKVI requirement is 28days. SOA can be more than 28 days, but visa application can be immediately after 28 days matured.

In all, I'm glad we are here! I learnt a lot from this platform ehn! cool
You'll definitely have all the information here to apply and without using any agent. I did DIY.

To all prospective UK students. Congratulations in Advance.

Hi everyone.
Please, i need some clarification. I have gotten admission, gotten my CAS from my school, done my TB test as well. I was building my POF, and halfway through, the naira devaluation happened, so i had to restart the 28 days count. I started counting my POF from the 27th of June, but i submitted my application (paid visa fee and IHS) on the 26th.. I hope i am on track.. or have i made a mistake? I am quite confused by the 28 days rule.
Please let me know if am on track, or if i should withdraw my application and restart a new application.

Visa Alert!!!

I applied for admission on the 13th of February 2023 to the University of Salford for project management (M.Sc), got a conditional offer on the 20th of February 2023 for September 2023 intake. Offer condition “Payment of £5,500” to receive unconditional offer.

Immediately I initiated ‘form A’ using Access Bank, but after being stuck on ADB reviewer for weeks, I cancelled and initiated again using EcoBank.
Unfortunately, EcoBank didn’t debit me too and the school shifted my admission to November.

So I thought I had time not until when I got a mail again that I have deffered to January 2024. Immediately, I messaged and also called the school to plead with them to shift me back to November 2023 and quickly paid the tuition deposit using black market. Fortunately for me, they shifted me back to November 2023.

My agent then applied for CAS on my behalf on the 12th of May and I started POF on the 16th of May.

I got my CAS on the 24th of May and the whole visa application journey began using 17th May to June 21st for the 28 days bank statement (Fidelity Bank).

Good day, please I want to know how to write UKVi so that my IHS can be refunded, though the school has given me to continue with September intake. When it's time to pay for IHS can I use the last IHS to pay of I should ask for refund first.
Opppzy001:
No May session in the school...

The school is aware of my AR and they told me once I get decision I should inform them which I did...

quote author=duchess90 post=122972683]Hello

This is absolutely annoying

I know how it feels to be caught in the middle tbh

Do they have a May session for your course? If yes that will be the way to go from Hertfordshire 's end, then you can reapply for another AR with a valid CAS

Did you inform Hertfordshire that you had applied for an AR earlier? They should have waited before cancelling the CAS (valid for 6months, with that valid CAS, UKVI would have issued your visa).

At this point UKVI won't issue a visa without CAS, and Hertfordshire isn't willing to issue CAS to you( usually 3months to your study)

My honest advise will be to prepare for the next cohort in September

A lengthy letter regarding this plus any compensation can be sent to both parties once they come back to you about the final decision- Perhaps, visa fee can be waived or refunded as a compensation to you when reapplying in September

Keep Herts on their toes regarding this.

Let's know when you get an update, meanwhile start preparing your lengthy letter

Cheers

Hello

I see you are begging to be banned

Most comments you have made have been focused on POF

Just to remind you, your POF is for your study in the UK, any other arrangement is deceit and will attract a 10year ban when caught

I hope that answers your question on POF finally.

More of it, I might have to ask @Justwise to ban you

Cheers

Hello

IHS refunds is usually done within 6weeks

If it goes beyond it please contact UKVI here
https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk/y

2. You vill have to pay another IHS whilst waiting for your refund

Cheers

Hello

When you start your upload you will be told what type and size your documents should be

Regarding pictures,I would advise that you make a collage of them on a word document, use that opportunity to put a single line description of the photos (i.e who are in the photos, where it was taken etc) and upload the document itself not individual photos

Cheers
ericadianas:
Hi Everyone,

Please regarding self upload service with TLS, do the documents have to be A4 paper size?

For example, I have pictures I would like to upload and they are regular image sizes on my computer.

Would I need to print as A4, Scan and upload? Or I can just upload the way the are.

Thanks

Hello

You restarted your count on the 27th June and paid visa and IHS on the 26th June.(You put the cart before the horse, very brave).

Go back to your application and check what date the exchange rate was on Oanda, compare that with the balance of your POF on the same day

If it didn't meet the required figure then that will be an automatic refusal for not meeting 10points on financial requirements

Cheers

I had slightly over the amount required with the exchange rate on the 26th. With the volatility of the rates, it seemed like it was finally decreasing that's why i paid then as i was unsure if it would get to N1500. I hope this would not present any problem.
