So you don't even know that electricity is shared to DISCOs by quota using population?
Another example, you bought one bag of rice 40k after selling your made 35k. I bought half bag of rice 20k after selling I made 30k. Whose business is doing better? Profits is what matters not total amount made after sale because all Disco didn't buy equal amount and population is what determined what each Disco get, and financial capacity of the people to pay bill is what determine whether the Disco will make profits or not

You are saying nonsense. I don’t even think you understand the jargons you are saying.

Even in the report. It was stated clearly that those losses are due to debt of majorly MDAs who refuse to pay those Discos.

Also don’t be so dull by using population only as a yardstick.

If you have a city and a village with the same population. Those in the city will generate more electricity revenue because they have fridge, AC, borehole, washing machine, and etc compared to villages that only use the light to power their bulb.

Stop this nonsense, Lagos is not synonymous with SW!

Stop repeating such lies and hoping it will stick because no one is buying it!

Lagos is Nigeria's Commonwealth. All Nigerians are stakeholders there.
Why are you emotional now? Even from the report excluding Lagos, Ibadan electricity is above Enugu, Pharcourt, etc distribution companies.

It shows that the SW excluding Lagos is the most industrialized southern region.

You no dy shame, NW population is like thrice of SE. Only Kaduna state is larger than the whole of SE in land mass and you opened your mouth to compare the two zone
Oh...can we now say Kaduna state should be given more states while we reduce the number of States in the SE.

So you don't know that electricity is not shared equally among DISCOs. My dear ignorance has finished you. Profits is the real deal in business. Tell me why EEDC will get this out of the total if not population, yet they make profits while others make losses

The amount is by quota using population, SE gets smallest but gets highest profits because their bill is higher and the people are capable of paying.

What’s the difference between Kano 3 states and Enugu 5 states?

Infact from the data up there, the NW generate more electricity revenue than the SE.

It seems the SE are the actual parasite.

—Kano + Kaduna Disco = NW (22.6bn)
—Enugu = All SE (18.9bn)

No wahala...

Continue getting ripped. It's well

You don’t have sense. Where is the proof for this your nonsense claim?

The major reason for the report you quoted was because some user default in paying their electricity fees and they are mostly government MDA who were complaining about estimated billing.

It’s as if you guys get mental problem with your useless lies.

What did your screenshot show?

Does it show that SE bill is higher than all other region? Do you even understand the nonsense you post?

This even shows your region use less electricity which indicate there is not much activities going there. If they give it the smallest quota as you claim.

So you’re just supporting my argument.

Are we not saying the same thing? EEDC has a population of people with strong middle class who can high bills just like Lagos. It's not about total amount made, after all they were not given equal megawatts to sell. It's about profits. Stop cursing. See proof

We are not saying the same thing.

I am still looking for the proof. Which middle class is in the South East?

If not for Igbo living outside SE, that land in itself is unproductive.

If you wan to see the middle class in Nigeria, come to the South West

This data can be better Interpreted when we see the amount of mega watts of electricity allocated to each zone and then compare it with how much they made.

For example if Enugu distribution company got 272MB and Ibadan distribution company got 500MB, you wouldn't expect amount generated to be similar.
My people stay in Enugu, and we hardly get light.
We use prepaid, so if they gave us more light, we will burn our units faster and buy more units, enabling Enugu distribution company to generate more money, but this doesn't happen.
SE hardly get electricity, we depend alot on generators.

Below are the states each of the Disco serve.

SW states accounted for over 50% of Disco revenue.

Any investor trying to invest in state electricity should just bring it to the West. He can be sure that his company will make the profit easily.

The industries are control by Nigerians and foreigners, Chinese, Indians, Labanes and others control majority of the industries, many of the indigenous industries are own by Igbos, north and other tribes, how even Disco doesn't measure economy

Dey deceive yourself. What’s Aba zone, when talking about meaningful industrial area, Aba no even show. Come Ogun state and see how industrial area look like.

You can’t give what you don’t have. You can’t fight data and there is no “What if” in data.

The data today State that NW generate more electricity revenue to Disco than the SE. Tsefini.

Ignorance is a disease. How many cities in Nigeria today are more industrialized than Aba? Can you name them? Simple Google search will tell you that SE has EEDC and Geometric (Aba zone).

It has been argued in the past between Aba and Ibadan, and Aba won. You can check the thread!

Talking about Ogun state, we all know it would have been another dead zone just like Ekiti or Osun, without Lagos. Over 90% of the industries in are at the boundary with Lagos. Ota and Agbara were established because getting lands in Lagos for industries was becoming increasingly difficult.

Aba is more industrialized than any city or town in SW aside Lagos.

you are clowning. Pre paid meter distribution in the east is very, very low. Most people still have old meters. In a place like Abuja, I have never seen any analogue meter in my eyes. I don't know about Lagos. People who use analogue meter in the east will never complain because they're comfortable with it.
