What’s the difference between Kano 3 states and Enugu 5 states?

Infact from the data up there, the NW generate more electricity revenue than the SE.

It seems the SE are the actual parasite.

—Kano + Kaduna Disco = NW (22.6bn)
—Enugu = All SE (18.9bn)
This your analysis is warped though, is the number of consumers in the South East greater than that of the North West??

Yes, you are very correct.

Agbara in Ogun state is covered by Eko disco. That place got massive industries.

Ikeja Electric also covers some part of Ogun state too, especially those border Towns

Always trying hard to show loyalty to Arewa and sabotage Igbos.

Are you even aware that Aba zone with all its industries are not included in Enugu disco? Business Card

Add Aba zone (Geometric) to Enugu zone and see if SE with 5 states won't eclipse Kano/Kaduna with 7 states.

SMH.

Must you add Lagos to SW so it can become meaningful?

Is population the only determinant? You’re as dull as Obi of Onitsha.

A single industry in a state could make use of electricity of a whole small town in some case.

If you have a city and a village with the same population. Those in the city will generate more electricity revenue because they have fridge, AC, borehole, washing machine, and etc compared to villages that only use the light to power their bulb.
Stop arguing with that dull brain so he doesn't drag you to his level.

And Ondo and Ekiti not even included in Ibadan disco. Still beat the hell out of that Enugu own.

Ignorance is a disease. How many cities in Nigeria today are more industrialized than Aba? Can you name them? Simple Google search will tell you that SE has EEDC and Geometric (Aba zone).

It has been argued in the past between Aba and Ibadan, and Aba won. You can check the thread!

Talking about Ogun state, we all know it would have been another dead zone just like Ekiti or Osun, without Lagos. Over 90% of the industries in are at the boundary with Lagos. Ota and Agbara were established because getting lands in Lagos for industries was becoming increasingly difficult.

Aba is more industrialized than any city or town in SW aside Lagos.
All these are just insipid ranting.

Power is ALLOCATED BY TCN according to following formula so revenue means nothing other than the ability of DISCOs to recover money for electricity billed:

Ikeja - 15%
Ibadan - 13%
Eko - 11%
Abuja - 11%
Enugu - 9%
Benin - 9%
Kano - 8%
Kaduna - 8%
Port Harcourt - 6.5%
Jos - 5.5%
Yola - 3.5%

For those casting tribal aspersions, SEVEN of these DISCOs are technically bankrupt: Abuja, Ibadan, Benin, Jos Kano, Kaduna and Yola.

I can list so many big industries operating in Aba off hand. PZ, Unilever, Glass force, Flour mills, pharmaceutical companies etc etc.

I know ibadan very well too, aside P&G, biscuit companies, and some others what else is there?

Go and ask Shell why they built a dedicapipeline to Aba. Also ask Geometric why they built Nigeria's biggest private power plant in Aba.

Travel around and be exposed they say no.

Below are the states each of the Disco serve.

SW states accounted for over 50% of Disco revenue.

Any investor trying to invest in state electricity should just bring it to the West. He can be sure that his company will make the profit easily.

No be today now, Dangote even confirmed it. He said 60% of what is called Nigeria's economy is centered around the 6 South West states of Nigeria.

This is marginalization.

Only Enugu Disco service 5 states, the rest of the Discos have 4 states or less.

I’m only surprised with PortHacourt on the list, I’m thinking it should be in the top 5.

Most likely the oil companies within the Port Harcourt domain generate their own electricity, hence the reason for their low revenue generation.

So you don't even know that electricity is shared to DISCOs by quota using population?
Another example, you bought one bag of rice 40k after selling your made 35k. I bought half bag of rice 20k after selling I made 30k. Whose business is doing better? Profits is what matters not total amount made after sale because all Disco didn't buy equal amount and population is what determined what each Disco get, and financial capacity of the people to pay bill is what determine whether the Disco will make profits or not

Good point

Do not exclude Lagos from South West. If the Federal Government and the Aboriginal people of Lagos recognize Lagos as SW, why should you bend to the sentiments of a non-state actor? Akinnolu, the Oba of Lagos and Sanwoolu, the Governor of Lagos both answer Yoruba names. If they are looking for their commonwealth, they should look to Abuja which has appointed minister as the administrator and not Lagos which would always be governed by a Yoruba man.

This data can be better Interpreted when we see the amount of mega watts of electricity allocated to each zone and then compare it with how much they made.

For example if Enugu distribution company got 272MB and Ibadan distribution company got 500MB, you wouldn't expect amount generated to be similar.
My people stay in Enugu, and we hardly get light.
We use prepaid, so if they gave us more light, we will burn our units faster and buy more units, enabling Enugu distribution company to generate more money, but this doesn't happen.
SE hardly get electricity, we depend alot on generators.
Shut up, i stay in enugu, we dey get light 2 4 7. No body dey dey even put gen now

Lagos state is killing only one tribe in Nigeria, the Igbos. The only reason why they hate the Yorubas cos the Yorubas are years ahead of them at all levels. The first radio and tv stations were established by the Yorubas. They wish they could remove Lagos state to their erosion ravaged, terrorism and criminality loved region where foreigners and Nigerians run away from. If there is a region cursed on earth and in heaven, it’s the East. I remember how Pakistanis were claiming New Delhi before they were kicked to Islamabad. The same thing happen to South Sudanese who thought Khartoum is their collective commonwealth until they were got kicked to Juba. To the Igbos, no matter how bitter you feel, Lagos state is a Yorubaland and Yorubaland is Lagos state. You can’t separate the two. No matter how Scottish people feel, London belong to the English while Glasgow or Edinburgh remains Scot’s’ heritage.

The question y’all need to ask these fools from the Yeast is this, why are their kinsmen running to the West? The last time I checked, people naturally moved to where their lives could be better, and that place is Yorubaland. If any Igbos ask or tell you that the igboland has more middle class or has more purchasing powers or less poverty, please tell them, why are international and local businesses are running to South West? Companies come to South West cos the people there-The Yorubas have purchasing powers which means “Middle Class”.

As at today, this is d poverty level in their cubicle-size igboland- Ebonyi- 78%, Anambra-32.1%, Enugu-63.1%, Abia-40.7%, Imo state-29.9 while Oyo state(The same size of the entire South East)-48.1%,Lagos state-29.4%, Ondo state-27.2%,Ekiti-36%, Osun state-40.7%, Ogun state-36%

The Yorubas are extremely blessed. Everything about them is exceptional. The Yorubas are in the West just like USA/Europeans called themselves the Westerners. The Yorubas were getting their masters in all field of disciplines when Igbos were swinging nakedly in their caves.
