Dude, in reality OP is correct.
It's actually correct to say on Jamaica as well as on any island. Ireland is an island.

Although you will often see it as "on the island of Ireland" or "on the island of Jamaica".

About genuineness or lack of, my hand nor dey o. grin cheesy

When you put it this way, it makes commensurate sense.

"On the Island of Ireland". "On the Island of Tortuga". That remains extremely valid.

But there's absolute no context where you can use "school on Ireland". It is a grammatical catastrophe. Would have even been understandable if she had used "school at Ireland". Least a few minds can afford to stomach that context to an extent.

And I still maintain that the OP is a fraudster. No genuine individual or agency with the capacity to help anybody get a scholarship to Ireland, will come on an online forum to advertise it. I don dey streets long enough to recognise these things. Abi the OP no get family members and friends wey for like get study scholarship for Ireland?

Look for his brigade/battalion/barracks and go report him to OC military police.

That was how one blocked my shop front days ago to go drink Ogogoro,I had to go call him to come re park his car or I shall lessen the tyres,no body told him.

I don't know why peeps are afraid of soldiers, when you can simply report them and they will be kept in guard room.
Keep them in guard room no problem, but they have already done to you what they want to do.
Remember Abiola and the officers that dealt with him at Ikeja those days?
One billionaire told me many years ago, when he drives he behaves himself, does mumu for any soldier etc, I asked why, considering how powerful his contacts was then. (Ie first time I met a head of state was at his guest house in vi). The man says before you call your friends in high places, before you tell them military head of state na your paddy, they would have dealt with and embarrassed you without mercy.

This nonsense from security personnel need to stop. He should be dealt with. This is why they should be kept in the barracks.

they are not Nigerian army, they are foreign European occupation force.
your life in this world becomes easier as black person the day you admit you dont have a country, no home just places occupied by forces that only treat white people well.

That soldier will not dare do that to some random Chinese or European he sees in Nigeria.
And you do not have a country until its the same for you.

There won't be need because they are well behaved.
Are you a "Nigerian soldier "

I'll rather sell gala and 7-Up in Lagos traffic than be a Nigerian soldier.

I get you clearly, but let them be reported and dealt with firstly first.

Most Nigerian soldiers are bunch of sick frustrated illiterates. I was brutalised by one of them because a girl I had business transaction with lied against me and one of them was dating the girl. A married woman oo. I paid heavily to treat myself and I reported same to the police where they later returned my phone they took. I'm preparing to arrest the girl in question so the court can decide that case. I'll never allow the case to go just like that. I felt bad seeing one illiterate hitting me with sticks just because he was wearing uniform and to please the pvssy he was fvcking
To sue the woman is a simple process and it won't cost you much. Just do it to serve as a deterrent to her

That soldier looks deranged. Infact I wonder if he is a real soldier. As I wrote last week, I know someone that use to work in a gym, a foreigner for that matter. Within a year of not seeing him, this fellow was now a "major" in naija army! Howww? Till today, I wonder. Infact 2ice he has been seen flogging people on the streets. By now, maybe he will be a colonel. Lol
On the flipside, one thing I always warn my wife, is not to put mouth in such issues. Keep quite! This woman is escalating the issue with the soldier. If you check, she was the one that decided to caution the soldier. Notice she is still passing insults instead of de escalating as a woman.
The husband is the type that will "die" for wife to show he loves her. She will put him inside trouble, yet one power she no get.
Omo, guys, no take beating, blow or die ontop woman matter, tops 6 months another man don de climb am. Lol

And you won't be there by the time he loses his job.
So, Abiola didn't behave himself was the reason he was embarrassed? These couple in the video didn't behave themselves was the reason the illiterate wanted to brutalise them? I don't even understand your point to be honest.

It is an oppression and abuse of power for any militaryman to be in uniform outside the barracks in civil society under democracy.
It is highl time we push a movement against these acts constitutionally.

The soldier should be given a medical attention before any other judgement. Because he might’ve been under the influence of drug or alcohol

Why would the motorist believe it is his job to caution a soldier ?
It's not done anywhere else in the world.

Please remember you are in Nigeria; Public relations and customer services is not part of the training for soldiers.

He wants to behave in Nigeria like he does in usa. He was very lucky. I'm not in support of the soldier action but people should learn to use their senses and not get in trouble unnecessarily

The Man said she shouldn't record (cautiously or fearfully). But she quietly changed the camera position, continued Her recording and got a very good shot of the idiot for our viewing pleasure.

Sometimes you need women who are subtly stubborn in your life. As long as they have sense.

In the next few days, I would like to come on Nairaland again to read that the animal was identified and disciplined for such a show of shame . . .Anything short of that will put a BIG question mark on the responsiveness of the military authorities to the attacks on civilians by these poorly trained recruits.

You Nigerians are responsible for soldiers misbehaving anyhow in that country, you have elevated them to some kind of demi god status, so it has got into the head of every illiterate recruit thinking he is something special. Fvcking dumb asses you are not better or more important to this country than a policeman, teacher, civil servants etc, get that in your fvcking dumb skull.

Good one from the couple's...
They recorded the face of the idiot and they stayed calm in their car....

The army will look into it now that it is glaring and has made the news ..

Imagine if the idiot has a gun.. what would he have done?

Reason why I am happy when they die...

They are mad people. They should remain in their barracks just as animals remain in zoo or bush. They are not fit to be among sane people in town. Instead of fighting boko haram, its innocent civilians they always harass

If I'm driving in the street of Nigeria I usually avoid military and paramilitary men like plague, because these days you hardly know who is normal and who is not normal.

If they are driving carelessly I usually give them chance and thank them when they are overtaking me.
