No Zone In Nigeria Is 100% Indigenous. by Makavelli001: 6:43pm On Jul 16, 2023 |
No zone in Nigeria is 100% indigenous because of the error in states creation. The Northwest is only 85% indigenous because southern Kaduna is made up of other tribes that are not Hausa nor Fulani The southwest is about 96 % indigenous because real lagosians are not Yoruba, and some part of ondo state are not Yoruba. The southeast is 99% indigenous because there are some igalla villages that were erroneously included in Anambra and Enugu. Ette and Orjj precisely. THEN WHY IS THE FOCUS ALWAYS IN THE SOUTH EAST.? 2 Likes 1 Share |

Makavelli001: I asked this on the original thread. Why doesn't the South East take the initiative on this matter on a state level? The results will speak for themselves. This system seems to exist for quota system reasons in my opinion. I don't think you make a relevant argument bring up states being 100 indigenous. It doesn't matter due to the fact those groups will be categorized as being originated from there by government. We not talking about it on a historical or anthropological level. Lastly if other ethnic groups are dissatisfied with current state borders they are free to join coethnics. The Nigerian Constitution states how to legally correct those issues by adjusting the border and joining neighboring states. This means ijaws in Ondo could join their fellow ijaws in the neighboring state assuming both state assemblies agree. 1 Like |

Igalas, Ebiras, Abakalikis etc. indigenous to South East are not Igbos so SE is not only Igbo affair. The next governor of Anambra must be an Igala person because they have been sidelinned for too long. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

BentizilL:You claim ilajes are overpowering them in ese odo, there's nothing like that happening in the southern part of ondo state. The former deputy governor of ondo state in akeredolu first tenure is an Ijaw man. The national vice chairman (South-West) of APC, Issacs Kekemeke is an Ijaw man from Ondo state. We don't discriminate over here in Ondo state, Ijaws are treated fairly over here and that's why you won't see them complaining about being marginalize like people from Southern Kaduna. |
Re: No Zone In Nigeria Is 100% Indigenous. by BentizilL: 7:30pm On Jul 17, 2023 |
Ikaeniyan0: If you like discriminate, nothing concern me with that... I know ilaje and the arogbo ijaw people have fought over land and ilaje always overpower them... π― Most of them now identify as Yoruba and speak a dialect of Yoruba with a mix of their original ijaw dialect... I've visited there thrice and I know what I'm saying... I love history a lot, one of the reason I've visited deep place in the south of Nigeria... |

MS247: Good observation. Schooling with them back then, we use to make jest of them that God did not give them that part of the brain responsible for logical thinking and strategic reasoning because they often find it difficult to solve complex calculations. Infact, they are completely lost once its outside the box. |

Makavelli001: And? All states in Nigeria are not homogenous based on lumped tribes placed within one border region. But do these individual tribes not have their own ancestral land ? The rate at which you Ibos are pushing for eradication of ethnic identity so as to steal people's land will only bounce back at you like it did with Ironsi's decree 34. |
