Hello everyone, Good afternoon, please I’d need your honest opinion on this. Fanshawe college is giving a deadline for filling the ISF form to be august 8 which in the form, you’d need to provide passport request and alsofill your arrival date and flight details , failure to do that means automatic defer and I’m yet to get response from IRCC. So I’m asking is it advisable for me to change course as the next available slot for the course I chose is May 2024. So I want to know if it’s possible to travel by September if I get a response before then and go to the school in person to change my course to another available course for January? |

Hi. Our travel experts here. Pls I have a big issue with my bank statement. My first application was rejected, citing insufficient funds although I had a large sum of money (17m) submitted through a microfinance bank. Can I submit my second application with my Access bank bank statement? Will there be unnecessary suspicions if I don't use my microfinance bank account which was used in my previous application? Are there records of my previous bank statement? Many thanks |

Hi everyone, Please if you have gone through this stage for a study permit kindly make an input. This is what I got this afternoon. Does this mean I can go and collect my envelope? I applied in Lagos. The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. 20230714CALAPKTXXXXXX has been received from the IRCC Office on 2023/07/21 at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja and is ready for collection. Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. Please refer to the “Buy Services” page of the VAC website for further information on courier services offered by the VAC , please refer to our website at:https://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nigeria/ 1 Like |

segzyndpep: No, I took a picture of the slip. Affidavit of return home basically means you swear in court that you'll return home if you have nothing doing in Canada. That you won't overstay your welcome and become an illegal immigrant. You can just go to court and they'll do it for you. 1 Like |

Awesome85: Hi Awesome, There is no cause for alarm, you are being requested to do sputum test because they suspect you have had tuberculosis sometime in the past. The process is your will provide the sputum for three days and thereafter wait for 10 weeks for the results, it does not stop your wife's application processing. They will only suspend your own processing till they get results from IOM after 10 weeks, I am sure by then you will be given the all clear. So, do not be anxious at all. Many people have done and gotten PPR afterwards 1 Like |

This question has been answered already. It means your passport has been stamped and sent to VAC Abuja. If you sent your passport through VFS Lagos, then you wait a day or two to get another mail confirming your stamped passport has arrived VAC Lagos. When you receive this mail, you can proceed to VSF Lagos to pick up your passport between 12-2 pm. scanice: |

Awesome85: Do not despair, it is just a suspicion of the presence of TB bacteria. It doesn't necessarily mean you have TB; you may have had TB cured in the past-- even as far back as 25 years ago. When you are infected by TB, the bacteria makes some markings on your lungs, the markings cannot go even after 25 years. This is what is seen by the X-ray. The purpose of the sputum test is to confirm whether the TB bacteria exists-- active or latent. Just prepare for a journey of at least 3 months because the sputum will be incubated for around 3 months (9 weeks - 12 weeks) after which you will be called for "confirmatory" X-ray test. If everything goes normal, you will be cleared. Even if you are cleared, when you get to Canada, you will still be required to do another X-ray and have a consultation with a doctor in Canada. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by ShowYoung: 6:06pm On Jul 21, 2023 |
Pristine664: Your information is good but kindly let me add some: (S)he doesn't need to talk to another doctor because the sputum test was recommended by a qualified doctor-- panel physician-- unless (s)he has been coughing persistently for at least 2 weeks coupled with feverish conditions. (S)he should not take any drug yet unless the test has been concluded. Even if there is any need, (s)he will be directed to a DOT center where free drugs can be dispensed. The drugs you mentioned above cannot be legally bought over the counter. Also, I do not believe this thread will be better served if prescription of drugs is done on this thread as this is not in tandem with the objective for which this thread is created. While I understand that you are trying to help, kindly pardon if this has caused any discomfort. 1 Like |
