Hello, please how do I get my documents legalized for the processing of my rp

You'll first have them attested at Fed ministry of foreign affairs in Abuja. If there are educational certificates included, then you must also attest at Fed ministry of education.

When you're done, write a mail to the Finnish embassy in Abuja informing them you wish to legalize your documents. They'll tell you what to do.

Their email below

Hello house, good evening. I and a colleague had been on waiting list with Haaga Helia uni. We had even crossed out the possibility. Surprisingly an offer of admission came in just yesterday. I will like to ask, especially from those who just went through the visa process if it's possible to push it within this limited time frame.

Congratulations first of all but I must confess that it's a tough situation.

You have roughly a month to go before orientation for new students. If your school will allow you to start online while sorting your permit out, then that'll be nice. You need to find out first.

If you're single, have your proof of funds ready, you should be able to manage everything within 6 weeks if you start today. If you're married and going with family, you owe VFS 60 days officially and that's assuming you have all your T's crossed and I's dotted on the documents. If not, you could be looking at 3-6months. It's after VFS has finished verification that you'll now start with Migri and embassy proper.

I wish you the best

Thanks for your comprehensive reply. The uni offered an online study option for the 1st semester. With an option for extension if visa isn't available for January resumption still. If after 4th of September visa isn't out, the online option kicks off.
The conditional admission requires first semester fee of 4,750 euros be paid by 28 July latest. Not a very convenient timeframe either. It's a tricky spot, admissions this year was competitive and I fear it's will be more so next time.
On another note is the city of Porvoo relatively affordable?. Anyone who got into Finland recently please how has living expense being for you. This whole process takes heart. More grace to everyone🙏🏾

Admissions into Finnish schools have gotten harder every year since 2017 and they'll keep getting harder. Finnish schools are quite considerate and I'm not surprised the option for online classes is still available.

I don't know what your specific situation is so can't say much. Your marital status, your program (BSC or Msc), the total program fees, your current financial situation etc will play a role in your decision and you have less than a week to decide.

In any case, Finland is quite affordable for a student and you'll not find it difficult to get a small job(s) that, diligently done, will generate enough to pay your fees and maintain you as Porvoo is a very economically active city by the sea. Inflation has been rife in Finland since the Russia-Ukraine war started but students are coping.

I wish you the best as you make your decision.

The competition is insane. I'm a single lad and I applied for a second Bsc. The yearly tuition is 9500 euros. Scholarship option only applies within the context of completing a certain amount of study credits each year, giving 20 percent discount. My brother in Canada is willing to help me with the first semester payment, which I will use in confirming acceptance of offer. My bone of contention now is POF. By my calculations it's roughly 6 million naira now.

I don't know how to advise your case really. You'll have to do plenty thinking about it. Unfortunately, you have just days to do that. I can only wish you the best

Business is not easy in Nigeria especially when you know nothing about the business you're doing. But doing business with big capital in a business city like Lagos, Onitsha, Kano, and Aba you have a 75% chance of success.
And you're wrong when you said that 90% of traders will run away when they see 6 million unless you mean street traders.

Please I need your advise. I intend moving with my husband and 2 kids for my maters. I want to ask if a sole custody document/family court order will suffice in place of consent letter from my daughter’s father (we were never married and I have been fully responsible for her upkeep for 10 years now, as he’s a NO SHOW).

Hmmmm..... It's a bit tricky. There's a form PK04 (can't really remember the name) that the parents would fill on the enterfinland website. Also they'll need a consent letter from the parent not going with you.

Let me even ask, have you started filling the permit application?

I don't know if they'll accept any documents in lieu of the consent letter but there's opportunity to explain why you can't produce whatever they require so let's hope you can find a way around it

I know sweden and UK actually allow such document, it’s even stated on their website but I am not sure about finland, been searching the web and haven’t found any useful information regarding that. I will explain my case if need be. Thanks all the same.

Every document you send with the application has to be notarized(CERTIFIED TRUE COPY) just to show that it is authentic especially since you are sending photocopies to them. You can do the notarization in Ikeja High Court or any court close to you. You will spend like 3k for all the documents

Attached is an example of fully notarized birth certificate & To whom it may concern letter written to show he had practical experience .
Every application differs based on your experience

Please what will be the best method now? Notarization or authentication (with MOE) as everything is online now and only requires uploading the verified academic requirements. Thanks

Depends on verification at VFS.

Have you done the following

1. Have the birth certificate attested at ministry of foreign affairs?

2. Written to inform the Finnish embassy of your intention to legalize the birth certificate?
