The medical was updated to Pass yesterday, a few hours after I called IRCC and multiple targeted emails based on the feedback I got from the agent. I'm being very hopeful, the approval will be given today. The emails i sent yesterday were to the london office email addresses, I know most medicals are reviewed there.

Prior to calling IRCC yesterday, I had sent multiple emails and webforms, especially since PPR came out for SOWP & SP for my spouse and older daughter very early in June. Nairobi only responded once that application was under review in their office and queued for processing, last week wednesday I think.

Steps to call IRCC is attached to this, i saw it on a previous thread and subscribed for unlimited calls to Canada for 1100 on the Viber App.

I got my last daughter's PPR a couple of hours after I made this post.

I raised a webform through the general webform link and placed a call through to IRCC again today and immediately sent multiple emails out, after the call.

I will advise you do the same, please be super polite to the agents and lead them on the conversation, they will keep placing you on holds to validate and confirm what exactly is going on with the application, also tell them to kindly leave a note on your application when they say the processing is out of their reach. This will probably bring your application to top of list, based on my understanding of case management system.

I pray for favor at VFS tomorrow because that passport must enter their office. Our flight is for the first week of August (booked since first week of June), so we can't entertain any more delays. All other passports have been stamped and returned weeks back.

Wishing everybody currently waiting on IRCC favorable and prompt feedback. In all, back up everything with prayers, I have a long story on this journey but God came through all the way, the delay with my younger daughter's application stemmed from an error on the upfront medical that was done and result that was uploaded, which led to multiple examinations being requested by IRCC, and IRCC now forgetting to move her file to the next actor after the medical was passed.

You can look up my posts to have an insight into this. I got about 6/7 additional medical examinations for my baby who is just a couple of months old, but all that is over now to the glory of God alone.

Please guys, I want to confirm if the kids require paid transmission fee to get their passports?

We didn't pay for this because their mum did her biometrics in Lagos and had the whole package sent through DHL to VFS Lagos. I am now hearing that transmission fees ought to have been paid for the kids because they did not do biometrics.

We are yet to get acknowledgement from VFS for the whole delivery, so can we just make the payments and send via email to VFS? Or do we expect VFS to return it first or call us first? Mind you we only paid one way to VFS Lagos with the intention of picking it up when it is out.

Kindly advise!

I had to book another return ticket of 1m when I got to the airport, despite I had work permit, they requested for it or else they won’t allow me fly. Add that 1m to the 1.2m you bought the ticket at first.
My friend was also sent back from Egypt yesterday for no reason. All tourists were sent back. At the end of all this. How is it cheap ? Imagine the stress of going back to Nigeria and you still have to book another flight!

nobody buys egyptair because they like it. its because its cheap. egyptair right now is 1.2m 1way, other flights are ranging from 1.5m upwards 1way oh. so you see. nobody will buy egyptair if they had the money to spare

But your friend can't be sent back without a tangible reason.
They have no authority to do that once you have a valid visa.

you have a point, atleast now people are aware of their antics & deceit. People will stop booking with them. they are really extorting Nigerians. most people that booked ahead with them won't do so if they knew these new information

what sort of visa did your friend have? based on your encounter, was this madness of their's across all visa holders?

Yes you have to pay transmission fee for children who did not do biometric,it's on the VFS website
I even confirmed it from a UPS staff
It's good you pay and email your receipt to VFS global.

submitted since June 29th for my kids and nothing has been uopdated not even their upfront medical which was done on 19th July. Also, is it normal to have background check not applicable ?

My wife and children travelled to Canada may this year through a one-way. I booked Ethiopian airline for the 4 of them myself. I think one should be able to book a one way flight if the duration of study is up to a year and above. Though when we got to MMIA the airline officials were trying to disturb and ask for return ticket but I proved to them that we are not sure of the particular date when they will be returning back since it’s still over a year from now and when he realized I knew what I am talking about…they had no option! Airlines are just using that round-trip to cash out on students. Lastly, even at the POE they didn’t even ask them anything as regards return ticket. Return ticket is only compulsory I think when you are on a visit visa(parent) or your duration of stay will not be up to a year.

I don’t think it’s compulsory but you should be able to prove beyond doubt that you are actually both married!!

Hello ,sorry for your experience . I am traveling with Egypt air next weekend with a one way ticket . Their office in Abuja and Cairo said I could fly but I am not 100% convinced yet . The ticket you bought at the airport now. Is it refundable? And what was the exact reason your friend was turned back . I am tensed right now . I regret booking with them .

If you have the time and ability to make the change, why not? However, if you are unable to do so now for so many reasons, that's perfectly acceptable. In that case, you must provide evidence of your legitimate marriage.
