ICT permits/Work permits If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, employed at a company outside the EU/EEA, and are to work at the company in Sweden, you can get an Intra-Corporate Transfer (ICT) permit. This applies to those who are to work as a manager or specialist or are to get practical training with the company. (When you see posts that says "Country outside EU/EEA and Switzerland, Nigeria & other African countries falls under this categorization). What this means, is that a Company registered anywhere in the world can employ you and send you to Sweden to work. Now, if you live for four years in a seven year period, you get Permanent Residence just like that. This permit is valid for as little as three months for trainees, or 1-3 for specialists. While there, you might change companies if you desire |

Requirements for ICT permit To be eligible for an ICT permit, you must: * Have a valid passport (if your passport will expire soon, you should extend it since you cannot get a permit for longer than the validity of your passport). * Serve as a manager, specialist or trainee for more than 90 days at the company in Sweden * Have the professional qualifications and experience required for the assignment as a manager or specialist, or have the training required for a trainee position * Have an employment contract from your employer outside the EEA that concerns your employment in your home country. If you are a trainee, you must also send in a trainee agreement for the traineeship in Sweden * Have been employed for at least three months without interruption at the time of the relocation within the company * Be able to be moved after the period of relocation to a company in a country outside the EU that belongs to the same company or to a company in the same corporate group * Be able to verify the qualification to practice the profession in Sweden if the relocation concerns a regulated profession. Your employer must: * Provide information about the employment * Offer compensation that is at least on the same level as the Swedish collective agreements or what is customary in the profession or industry * Offer terms of employment that are at least on the same level as for employees who are posted in Sweden * Offer an employment that gives you the possibility to support yourself. The employment contract and trainee agreement must include: * employer’s name and address outside the EEA * employee’s name and address * when the employment outside the EEA began * the city where the work/training will take place * brief description of the employee’s duties * salary and other payroll benefits * the employee’s professional designation or job title (not applicable to trainees). The agreement must be translated to Swedish or English. Requirements for using the e-service In order to use the e-service, you need: * to get an email from the employer with a link that leads you to the e-service * copies of the pages in your passport that show personal data, photo, signature, passport number, issuing country, period of validity and if * you have permission to live in countries other than your home country * a union declaration * degree certificate(s) (if you are a trainee) * employment contract from the employer in your home country * trainee agreement (if you are a trainee) * to be able to pay the application fee by card (Visa/Master card). 1 Like 1 Share |

An ICT permit gives you as a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland the right to travel into, stay and work in Sweden at a company that is established in Sweden within the same corporate group as the host company. If you have already been granted an ICT permit by a different EU Member State, but are to work in Sweden, you can get an ICT authorization for long-term mobility. |

Your family can receive residence permits for the same time as you. Family means: * your partner (live-in partner, spouse or registered partner) * your or your partner’s unmarried children under 18 years of age. Brothers & sisters, mama. papa, cousins are not included! |

Change of employer or profession. Good news! Should you for any reason, want to change your employer or profession, then you can look for a new job your self while in Schengen, either in Sweden or any other Schengen. They are all collectively assume to be one territory. If you get a new job or employer, you can apply for a temporary residence and work permit when you are in Sweden. Your family members who received residence permits as members of your family can also apply for a continued residence permit in Sweden. |

If you want to continue working in Sweden, you must extend your ICT permit. The application must be made before the current permit expires. The permit can be extended up to three years if you work as a manager or specialist, or up to one year if you are a trainee. In most cases, you pay a fee to extend your permit. |

Permanent residence permit When you apply for an extension of your ICT permit, you can apply at the same time for a permanent residence permit. To be granted a permanent residence permit, you must meet the requirements for an extended permit, and you must also * have had an ICT permit or a work permit as an employee and have worked in Sweden for four years over the past seven years * be able to support yourself financially * be living an orderly life |

*Updates* When you get your visa… Have enough money that can sustain you for, at least, 4 weeks before you move. Because, it’s not always easy in a new country. You don’t know how the system works and will be discomforted for a while. So prepare well. If you meet people from your country, they will be more than willing to help you settle down. But they will disappear if you can’t even pay for your meals. Yes, they will disrespect once they found out you are in dire. Best is always to avoid them & Arabs initially. Maybe when you have discovered stuffs yourself and have balance a bit you can socialize. They will cause you the most depression. I understand most of their excuse: Nobody abroad needs more bills and extra luggage. They have plenty headache already, don’t add to it. That's hogwash though, assistance sometimes isnt above money but direction or place holder. However you that is japing should Come prepared. If you’re going on a student visa, use Social Media to look up other international students in the school and people living around that town… connect with them and ask relevant questions. They are more likely to help. You can also contact the office of international student affairs in the school and request them to connect you with other students from your home country. They will do this without hesitations. The people you meet first when you enter a country matters a lot. Be careful the details and private information you share. Be open so people can relate with you but be smart. People send information. Yes, people do lots of informal side hustle to make up short falls in the living expenses. Be prepared to learn and unlearn. Some of the things you value in your home country is nothing abroad, and vice versa. One thing i must warn you, be original. People will try to force you to live a fake live of you have made it, because almost every immigrant i run into do it, especially blacks & Arabs. I had this experience of an African Arab trying to impress it that he is someone important, while me i am one black monkey struggling to cop. He was shocked how most German babes & guys flock to me. Me i dont dress well ohhh, but when you come close you go understand, as i fit spend $200 on dinner for any person head, boy or girl. One white politely fall his hand by asking if he has started working there, he quickly retorted he is *Volunteering****** Lol. Me body just sweet me small. Since then the Morroccan dey avoid me like say na me ask am wetin he dey do for the facility. Guy na cleaner he dey do! No form pass your self. No follow other immigrants form pass your self, this is a real live story. I kept my originality and made useful Connects citizens of Norway, Austria, Germany & Switzerland. People can smell fake from a long distance. Land in a popular airport if it’s your first time. You may have a connecting flight to airport closest to your destination, but it’s better to land in a popular airport. Port of Entry is where your fate will be decided. Your visa is just valid for you to get to that port of entry. Always dont look at the immigration officer. Focus on something else as if you dont give a shit about their fucking country. Dont appear desperate to come to their country. If he is a Conservative he will pour his frustrations of Left politics on you! Carry African food. Don’t worry about rice and noodles , you will find them abroad. Most processed foods are cheap. Accommodation. If possible, sort it before moving. But you can sleep in hostels for a few days as you look for a place. Be sure about where you will sleep that first day of arrival. Now, there are lots of low priced hostels....not hotel for you to even sleep for one week. Plan your way & take over your hustle. Agents or your friend that said they would pick you from the airport may switch off their phones when you land or they’re busy, so plan for that emergency. They usually do. When ever you guys reconnect, they pop up the excuse with a smile and expect you to forget it. Lastly, make sure you appease your village people, all the local demons wey dey una village........Lol Calm Travels wish you all the best in your travels. If you find this post interesting, share, tell a friend that we can help them migrate from Africa to Europe *Legitimately* 1 Like
