Every other communist government that tried to implement accelerated sel-reliance and industrialisation policies based on forced communal labour also failed woefully- from the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia who were directly funded by Chairman Mao to the Stalin-led USSR which had also woefully failed implanting the 5 year plan a couple of decades earlier, directly influencing Mao.

The only communist government that came close to achieving some success with this strategy was thr Envar Hoxha-led Albania in the late 50s and early 60s.
