afrodoc2:People like to romanticize strong men that's what I've discovered. Guys like Stalin, They 'affectionately' call him Chairman Mao but he was quite the despot. Read him up. Don't even get me started on Imperial Japan Every corner of the globe seemed to have had one tyrant or the other. I'm surprised we're yet to have one extinction level event yet and it's not for a lack of trying |

nihilistjnr: I probably should have worded my statement better. I don’t want to be seen as a communist defender. What I meant by “laid foundation” was mao was responsible for revolutionising the Primary education of China, built a Great Rural cohesion that has continue to serve China till this very day, his policies re-United a fractured country and instill a sense of national pride. He basically built what is known as “China” today, heck he simplified their Chinese language, introduce piyin. Most of the Chinese Language characters you are seeing today is because of him. I do hate the man, but I’m not going to deny that he chased the impearilist out of China, and eradicated the feudal practices, created the political system being used in the country. Founded the CCP. His policies built the country political structure that is still being used till today, created mass education fro the peasants. This same peasants are now the bedrock of the Chinese economy. Deng xioping open up the economy, but they wouldn’t have been any economy to open up if not for mao. So when I said his policies “Laid foundation” for modern China. I am absolutely correct. And yes he was a terrible person and his policies resulted in millions of death of people, but his policies also laid the foundation for the China you are seeing today, Economically, Politically e.t.c. Both truth are not mutually exclusives. 1 Like |

afrodoc2: Understand my notion better, I’m not trying to be seen as a Mao supporter. But without mao, there won’t be anything like China Today. And that’s a fact. The Great Leap Forward( A terrible policy), no matter how much you hate it is still responsible for the strong Rural-Community-cohesion you are seeing in China today, it’s still responsible for the huge improvement of their education sector, the whole of Chinese transliteration you are using and seeing today is a direct beneficiary of that policy. |

Segedinho: What problem do you have with the list? Is there anyone you feel should not be among let’s discuss. I haven’t really critique the list though, cos I’m waiting for the ministers portfolio to be unveiled. It look stupid to be arguing over the ministerial list when I don’t even know the ministry they will be heading. |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Shaytun: 8:14am On Jul 28, 2023 |
izzou: The man is a very controversial figure. Most book written about him are not balanced because of the heavy propaganda from the west infused. If you want to get a balanced view read from two sources, west and east. Though you might need a translation for the east book if you don’t understand Chinese. Try this Mao Tse-tung and the Chinese People By Roger Howard Mao: The Unknown Story" by Jung Chang and Jon Halliday. You can also try this. https://m.douban.com/book/subject/20394862/ It’s in Chinese but you can translate to English. 1 Like 1 Share |

Is it my eyes or there's a special camera effect in this women's WC Their shots are always going in slow motion yet the keepers always struggle to catch them |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 8:54am On Jul 28, 2023 |
iamoyindamola: Women goalkeepers are the definition of baskets o. They just fly in one direction and Insha Allah . If u expect Ramsdale or Courtois kinda save from those women goalkeepers , just dey play . Any ball with small placing will score in their hands . I’ve come to realize in women football that the best way to win is not to allow ur keeper get exposed to so many shot attempts by opposition attackers . |

BlueRayDick:See the nigeria match the first 2 goals between the 2 teams was funny As for the bolded you will see about 3 women running after their opponent exposing the back line |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 9:53am On Jul 28, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:That's the most disgusting part of women football. Like WTF!!! The keepers are just there to fill up a space. They don't even try. Light shots will just stroll into the net. SMH |

Q: What does this all mean for the ECOWAS region? A: It's quite unstable right now. The ECOWAS chairman is facing a lot of pressure in terms of how the elections panned out. He issued a strong statement yday but people are already saying you yourself you're not legitimate. https://twitter.com/I_Am_Ilemona/status/1684831697819377664?t=Kddu9Ji2dNJMuf9hNPUoSg&s=19 |
