Your own better you see explanation for the loss.
I no fit find explanation for seplat poor performance. Revenue was positive, same with gross profit but it appear like they have stared that thing transcorp use to do. Non controlling interest and equity holders of the parent company don dey share the profit.
Lol.
SEPLAT na big boys food na....does the performance used to justify the price before?
They know what they're doing by quickly moving the share price up before releasing the result. Lol.
Na to say make you just dey enjoy your quarterly dividend.

In spite of the result, they already announced Q2 dividend.
So also MTN.....Interim Dividend is N5.60k

Hmmm eps from 35naira last year to (negative) -63. No be small loss.
Ebe like say NestlΓ© drink otapiapia. But them go survive
Bad times no doubt for the consumer goods sector. I have to look at the result twice to be sure of what I am seeing. I hope this would not lead to downsizing and lost of jobs in most of these companies.

I am beginning to think if the result of the banks can sustain the market from the generational low predicted by oracle.

I still repeat dat the management of ardova did not try for retail investors, I see green light for pet distribution this tinubu tenure , and I believe every company has strategized to key into it, thank God i had faith in mrs while they built their tank farms distroyed by fire, i bought them low during dooms day preaching on d stock now im smiling .......

If u believe in FA, i will advise u to calm down, d interest rates dat measures d temperature of d economy is high and gradually going to over drive like in Jonathans time when u can buy Tbills for 23%....,.....,

E remain small dis market go see woto woto.......

Just sharpen ur arsenal

Same interim dividend of N5.60k like last year. Hope the share price won't crash to below N250 again.

These results cannot bring generational lows. I think they are mixed. some of them have come out good while others came unexpectedly bad. NASCON is one example(we are yet to see dang sugar).
Generational lows will come if the tribunals removes tinubu(which is most unlikely).

Mtn have highlighted the reasons for the decline which they expect to continue through the year.

I just got alert from ardova without soliciting for pay off because I filled no form to that payment. And from my calculations they paid #19.10 that is if thr was no WHT in the payment

Why did FBNH rally post results last only two to three days. I thought by now it should be N25.

You are correct. Downsizing and restructuring is imminent in the FMCGs. Many FMCGs and breweries will have to restructure to collapse overhead.. RTM and distributor transformation will happen in many FMCGs.

Banks are enjoying now. Union Bank reviewed salary with 75% increase. Zenith did similar. FMCGs will struggle to do that.

If Tinubu is serious about transforming Nigeria and not just another Buhari 2.0, e better give the most important sectors of the economy to personnel with the capacity and the competence to deliver.
We can't afford to walk the same part Daura Alfa took us through.

Linkage is a good BUY
On the NGX bourse, good performance is not enough. To join the ''big boys'', you need to consistently pay good dividend as well.

Wow, terrible result. Nestle is going to collapse and close down....Probably not. The smart ones will put this on their radar and try to pick at ridiculously low prices and then make insane gains a year from now. This is the way the game is played. If gonna play the game boy, you've gonna learn to play it right.

Bulk of their revenue is from sales in the north compared to the south and east. I don't know what strategy they have employed to boost sales in that region but they have been printing more money from the region in the last two quaters.

From the North, the products will go to Niger, Mali and Chad

NO. Their problem is actually that they have not been able to reconcile the inventory/financial statement of Siat Nigeria Ltd they acquired late last year with that of Presco. Though Nigeria companies could be funny atimes, but personally I don't think there is cause for alarm.

Fuel subsidy removal

Lay man analysis

Increase in cost of fueling company vehicles and machineries

Increase in cost of distribution Vis a Vis Logistics costs

Increase in cost of marketing and promotions

Decrease in sales and marketing activities

Increase in staff remuneration leading to increase in cost of overhead

Increase in remote operations with its advantages and disadvantages on efficiency and effectiveness

Reduction in staff strength vis a Vis Mass layoffs leading to increase in Burnouts, and lower productivity, amidst low morale.

Etc etc

Bad reports do not just occur on paper. It is often a reflection of the ongoings at the day to day life of the company.
