As the biggest city in West Africa, the 'gold' in that city is bigger than the one in most other cities in Nigeria.

Just looking at the match alone got me fascinated especially with the giant screen up there even though I wasn't there. The 2026 world cup is going to hit like crack mediawise and hopefully I will be there.
I know you sha cheered and jubilated when barka scored their against the run of play goals. Undercover dead barka fan.

I was obviously supporting Barcelonaast night. The only time I will support Madrid is when they play English teams.

The stadium was 82k people yesterday and was covered too

Yeah. That fenced area. You must’ve had a good time.

Shayo places plenty for IB. There are about 5-6 of them or more on that Awolowo road alone. If you have money, you’ll chop life in that city.

Premier Hotel Ibadan. Chei! Visit their Pool at Weekend and be assured to go home with fresh meat.

Also, in the 90s, women of easy virtue always loitered around Oremeji Mokola down to close to that hill. Busy evenings, olosho biz dey since wayback

I didn't know you are exploring that route now. 😄

Outside Lagos many cities are chill. Even in Ibadan some markets don't open till 10am anything after 10pm the streets are looking deserted

If the transportation is good, many people will work in Lagos and live in Ibadan

How do you see those dreaded Micra cabs terrorizing the streets

......most on Nairaland do think Ibadan is all about Bẹẹrẹ, Oje, Ọja-Ọba, Òkè-Ado, Òkè-Mapo and so on. Ibadan is an old City hence brown roofs are expected at the heart of it.

But when you move around wella to new Ibadan settlements like my Area along New Garage, Elebu Axis, you'll understand Ibadan ain't all about brown roofs.....LOL

If you have time (or next time you visit), explore that Challenge , MKO Abiola area. You’ll find atmospheres like Cubana in Lagos but less crowded, more chill, and less expensive.

Still can’t believe Cubana sells their Odogwu bitters 2k5 in the arena while you can get it for less than 1k elsewhere.

There are many good development in the area. Around Onireke, Kolapo Ishola, Alao Akala GRA, they are about to start a new Rasheed Ladoja GRA on the Lagos express which will be close to the planned circular road around Ibadan

I just pray for continuity of sane govt in Oyo.

Someone told me recently that all the good schools with great facilities that Amaechi constructed in PH say Wike refused to use the schools and grass has overgrown them. Itsrm can you confirm

I passed through Kuola, Sharp Corner, and Oluyole extension, and the houses i saw there are what you will find in Lagos.

Even the private schools i saw had decent environments.

Sometimes, online opinions are rooted on ignorance.

To the best of my knowledge, and I stand to be corrected, all the schools Amaechi built within PH were not abandoned.

Wikes excuse was that some of the schools were built in bushes far from residential areas where no one will attend them. Those were the ones he abandoned.
