Above is a link to counties by income tax and an African country is number one.

We trashed this out already, you even sent me the link.

I thought we trashed it out already that poverty rate is subjective and unreliable.

Anywhere you here data like poverty rate, it is based on assumptions not real figures
You don't seem to understand what you quoted. Poverty can be subjective but the data is never unreliable. Also the data is not based on assumptions not real figures.
Please read what you quoted. You would never find it mentioned that poverty rate is measured by made up numbers as you claim. Read before you post.
When we say poverty is subjective, it means that you could take your poverty level as let's say under $1 a day while I could determine mine as under $2 a day.
In the stats above the same parameters were used in all states so you don't have much to complain about.

Are you just saying this just on nairaland or you really mean it?

I guess you don’t understand what IGR means

In simple terms, it means how much your state is generating in naira and kobo. Not a made up figure, it is earned that’s why it is called revenue. It means there are activities going on in your state leading to revenue being collected.
Although it cannot be used to measure individual wealth, but it goes a long way to make assumptions on the wealth of a city. Shey na goat them dey tax ni, abi na baboon. Humans are the one generating the revenue and those figures are not cowries but real money. Naira and kobo.

Pls see the govenrment site and see what makes up IGR.

You are right with the definition of IGR and it is a very useless figure to calculate wealth or poverty.
You are the first human being to ever tie IGR to wealth.
And this shows one of 2 things. You are either an economic genius deserving a Noble prize or a very ignorant person that says what he has no idea of. Which one you be?

24.9 % is a rate

What’s the value

It is obvious you guys are not that educated

Eg lagos makes up 70% IGR of Nigeria, value is 750 billion naira.

70% can’t buy biscuit, 750 billion can buy jets

Do you understand now.?

So you know the rate so what's your argument. Poverty is measured as a rate and 24.9/% is a value. A value simply means a number assigned to a calculation or measurement

You know why africa is below world standard.

We don’t think independently.

When I was running my program in the US, professor will tell you to discuss any latest happening in the world and build your own opinion around it.
The people writing this articles and poverty shits are human beings like you and me. Some of them are your age mates, they sit down in their country and write stuffs based on sample data.
Some of them are professors in these schools, you will see the people that wrote this stuffs one on one in US schools.

They are not ghosts but human beings

But talk of real life data like IGR cannot be easily flawed.
2 * 2 = 4 and that’s why you get a real life value for IGR

But saying rate of poverty, this guys just even use AI these days to generate sample data and write articles.
And that’s the problem of africa. We only wait for these guys to write for us without doing anything.

Please I have been giving you free training on this thread without getting paid for it.

You don't hear the US boasting of having the largest IGR in the world rather Biden is talking about improving the economy of individuals and Families. No single county measures it's economic success by IGR. You want to change the world order abi.

You are comparing countries that have mad data and records to Nigeria. Even with that, they use those estimates for forecasts and impressions.
And when China was coming out of poverty, they attached real figure in dollars of how they were pulling their population away from poverty since their international trade started with US. The data they used was personal income per individual.
